Yeah I would love to have this by Mid March. Who knows.
What did you tell your dealer when you said you were walking away? Did they get upset?January 20, 2022 at 3:19 pm #86450
I have not said anything to the salesman yet at the dealer I ordered the car from. When I see this other one arrive and I can actually touch it and feel it and sign the paperwork then I will tell him that I found something else and since I never signed a contract or left a deposit there is nothing really binding except the order that has my name on it. Initially they said they really didn’t care if I backed out at any time because it’s a car that they would want and that they could easily sell since they are so hard to come by. Want to keep all my options open just in case..January 21, 2022 at 8:24 am #86486
Got it, makes sense. I’m willing to wait till April 1st, since we got 15 inches of snow here Sunday night (Cleveland, OH). I’ll try and stay on top it with my dealer till then.January 21, 2022 at 8:44 am #86487
I agree. When I ordered mine is September I thought maybe I would have it by November and be able to enjoy it with it before the winter but getting it now with the snow and salt think I’m gonna be using it much until the weather gets better. Strange turn of events.. Found out last night through Cadillac chat that my car has been built and is waiting to be shipped. Going to be interesting how this all plays out.January 21, 2022 at 9:58 am #86488
It is really crazy that all the Dealerships are not being honest with their customers. I keep hearing the same story, with little prospects of actually getting a car anytime soon. Cancelling or delaying will only increase the price when the time comes to get a car, so most of us are just stuck waiting.January 21, 2022 at 10:01 am #86489
Very true. And to add to the confusion some dealers are now showing 2022 models in transit but yet the Cadillac website does not have any listing for 2022 if you look on your new vehicle inventory. Just total chaos. I was very fortunate to find and almost identical car to the one I ordered coming in to a different dealer so I’m probably going to go with that one since it’ll probably show up first and I can actually put my hands on it.January 21, 2022 at 8:28 pm #86529QueenOfAllBlckVehiclesParticipant
^^ Once my car said it was built it was not long after it shipped!January 21, 2022 at 8:54 pm #86530
Hopefully you’ll see it soon. I’m even finding differences with the term some of the people at Cadillac use when they say vehicle has shipped. It could mean shipped from the assembly plant to the distribution Depot or it could mean shipped from the depot and on the rail car already. They really need to get their act together. I just called Cadillac again and was told that the 2021 that I found at the new dealership is only real car with an ETA of February 1st. The original car I ordered I still have no idea but all they say is that it shipped. In any case I think we’re all getting close. 😊January 24, 2022 at 11:22 am #86564
The salesman just called me, and I finally have a VIN number for the car. CT5 is scheduled to be delivered to dealership early February. I can hardly believe it, but they called me.January 24, 2022 at 11:31 am #86565
That’s great news. You got a better sales team that I have with my ordered car but it looks like the other car that’s coming into the other dealership will be here by February 1st so still undecided as to which one I’m going to do it but I think we will all be driving new cars in February which is great news..January 24, 2022 at 1:00 pm #86568QueenOfAllBlckVehiclesParticipant
🙌🏻🙏🏻 Can’t wait to see everyone’s cars!January 26, 2022 at 1:26 pm #86623
Got the call yesterday. Built. VIN. No Invoice or Delivery date. Im hoping to have the car in a month. But no rush I got RWD so longer the better. Big time developmentJanuary 26, 2022 at 4:17 pm #86638
Same with the one I ordered. Built and has a VIN but no ETA. The similar one i found is coming to the dealer tomorrow from what Cadillac tells me so will probably go with that one. I rather take it than risk loosing out and finding the one I ordered has an issue or is missing features. I see other 2022 models on their way to dealers do not have the heated steering wheel but rather a $25 credit.January 27, 2022 at 9:46 pm #86670
I was told my car is on the rail train heading to NJ. From NJ to be put on a truck and then to the dealer, about two weeks. Starting to believe is finally happening.January 27, 2022 at 9:48 pm #86671
