Interesting. I wonder if / when my dealer will notify me. The non-heated steering wheel is a no go for me. Has to be heated living in Cleveland. Now, if it’s something they add a chip to to fix, I’m ok.
November 23, 2021 at 3:12 pm #83860[email protected]ParticipantI ordered mine on September 23 and I am now at event code 3000 which I thought meant production has excepted it and parts of been allocated so not sure what to expect at this point.
November 23, 2021 at 4:45 pm #83870e_s_jonesParticipantroberth216, Regarding heated steering wheel, it would make sense to delete the feature for cars headed to dealers in southern states. (I’m also in Ohio.) It sounds like there may be enough parts supply to include the heated steering wheel in some (maybe even most) but not ALL cars built.
November 23, 2021 at 4:56 pm #83871[email protected]ParticipantThat makes a lot of sense. And since it is an option which is included in the climate package I doubt many people would even care about that feature out west also but would really appreciate the ventilated seats.
November 23, 2021 at 10:15 pm #83890mike60984ParticipantOne of the dealers I talk to last week said that when CT5V s’ are able to be ordered that they won’t have navigation, Super Cruise or the Platinum Package.
I gave up and ordered a new Macan S on Saturday.
November 24, 2021 at 10:48 am #83897[email protected]ParticipantCall Cadillac this morning and got an update that my vehicle is scheduled for production the week of December 13. Car was ordered on September 23. Hoping for a Christmas miracle maybe by the end of the year?
November 24, 2021 at 11:57 am #83898ecaravanosParticipantForget the Super Cruise, a major disappointment. But the dealer to his credit, offered a fully equip CT5 V6 less Platinum and Super Cruise for a Jan delivery. I am fortunate in that I have option of first refusal. I have already been waiting nearly a year, so for another month I can wait for a 2022 model.
November 24, 2021 at 12:05 pm #83899[email protected]ParticipantSounds good. Here’s hoping that they don’t put out any more features before the cars are actually in our hands😊
November 24, 2021 at 12:55 pm #83902roberth216ParticipantI’m anticipating new features / colors that we can’t see yet on the Cadillac website, probably having us wish we all waited a little longer!
November 24, 2021 at 1:58 pm #83909e_s_jonesParticipantChevrolet is deleting heated steering wheel from some pickups and SUVs. They have stated that a retrofit will not be possible post-delivery. It’s probably safe to say Cadillac will take the same position on this. I could be wrong.

November 24, 2021 at 2:01 pm #83911e_s_jonesParticipantPlease clarify. Is it a major disappointment that your car won’t have Super Cruise, OR have you tried Super Cruise and found the system to be a major disappointment?
November 24, 2021 at 2:16 pm #83917[email protected]ParticipantSeems like there are a few changes for 2022 including now the Power Tilt and Telescope steering wheel is included with the premium luxury package. Colors like emerald green and Shadow metallic are gone and I think two others have been added.
November 24, 2021 at 5:04 pm #83929ecaravanosParticipantI mean I really wanted the Super Cruise and will getting the car without that feature. I am sure it will eventually roll out but very slowly.
November 24, 2021 at 7:40 pm #83940roberth216ParticipantSo I talked to my dealer today. He said they received an email from GM about potentially installing chips post delivery, but didn’t provide any more info. It seems like this lack of heated steering wheel/seats is getting some traction. He did say my order has not changed, but I’m preparing for the inevitable here. I’m OK getting the chip installed post delivery, but walking away if I can’t get the car with no hope of it being installed later on.
November 24, 2021 at 9:25 pm #83950[email protected]ParticipantEverything I’ve been reading on the internet seems to indicate that let’s the chips are available they should be installed probably mid 2022. We’ll be following up with my salesman next week to see if he has any update since my car is scheduled for production the week of December 13th
