Mine was held up over super cruise and the performance package. Eventually the restrictions got cleared and I got everything. My friends was held up over the radiant package and some other things, but the restrictions were lifted and she will get it. I would just stay in contact with your dealer and see if he is willing to discuss his allocations and what restrictions are in place. Unfortunately, the restrictions come and go and it is beyond his control. Good luck.January 6, 2023 at 10:10 am in reply to: 2022 Escalade ordered, time to get accepted by GM? #94180
If you have the order number, your order has been submitted. I agree with you that the cadillac visual message support site is very bad. All I was able to do was share my oder number and was told for 38 weeks that the order has been submitted my your dealer, but not accepted by GM. It was at week 38 when I finally got the message that the order has been accepted by GM. From that point, the site was good as I could follow many steps: Production will begin within 2 weeks / your vehicle has been produced / quality control / preparing to ship and finally your vehicle has shipped. Eventually your order will get accepted, but your dealer has to keep checking as he gets allocations (order windows) from Cadillac. Twice a month your dealers gets these order windows and if he sees that your vehicle can officially be order with the options you want, he must place the firm order. If he sees that GM has some restrictions on some options, that is most likely why he did not officially order it yet. It is truly hit and miss and he must keep checking. Sooner or later what will want will get cleared for that official order. Like I said, I refused to remove options and I had to wait about 40 weeks to get mine. My friend ordered even more options than me and her order was just officially accepted. In her case, it took almost 2 years before GM removed the restrictions so the dealer could order exactly what she wanted. Unfortunately there is not much you can do, but wait. My neighbor told me which days his allocations opened up and would call me to confirm what is possible. Eventually he confirmed that he was able to order everything I wanted.January 6, 2023 at 9:49 am in reply to: 2022 Escalade ordered, time to get accepted by GM? #94178
My neighbor owns the Cadillac dealership and I know he would say what is happening to you is wrong. Back in 2021 they issued my order to GM, but it was not accepted for about 38 weeks. I immediately got the order number from my dealer and was able to follow everything on my own. There is no reason for your dealer not to submit your order with all the options you want. If he does not do this, you will never stand a chance of getting it. I will demand your money back and go to another Cadillac dealer. Truly they are doing you wrong.January 6, 2023 at 7:17 am in reply to: 2022 Escalade ordered, time to get accepted by GM? #94176
You are not alone. I ordered my 2021 in February of 2021 and had it pushed to a 2022, which I received in May of 2022. I can only tell you it is worth the wait. Unfortunately, Cadillac often puts restraints on certain options that are not available at that point in time. I could have received my sooner if I was willing to remove some options, but I choose to stay the coarse and eventually got what I wanted. I good friend also ordered a 2021 in May of 2021. It eventually got pushed to a 2022 and then just to a 2023. But, Cadillac just accepted her order and she will most likely get it next month. Again, hang in there!
That dealer is nuts. I purchased my 2022 premium luxury from a dealer in Pittsburgh at MSRP. Nothing above that price. Their policy is not to mark them up above MSRP.
Hello Amanda; truly just jumped back in to see how everything is going with your Escalade. So sorry to hear this and I wish I could offer some help. So far, I am OK with mine, but to be honest I have been hearing a lot of concerns and frustrations with the Escalade. I hope you can find a solution with your dealer; all the best. Jeff from Pittsburgh.
Day 334 since my initial order was placed. Finally & tomorrow, I will arrive at my dealers at 4pm eastern time to take it home – Jeff from Pittsburgh. Enjoyed the journey with you both Samantha and Shari. All the best to you both going forward!
Happy for you Shari; that is also great news. One day it will actually happen and for sure I am looking forward to that first drive. Its been a long journey getting to this stage, but from everything I hear it is certainly worth the wait. Again, great news on your end.January 3, 2022 at 2:53 pm in reply to: 2022 Escalade ordered, time to get accepted by GM? #85638
Hello dmnoun; Jeff from Pittsburgh. To be very honest, the process can be difficult. I placed my original order for a 2021 back in February. It never got accepted and was pushed to a 2022. My official order for the 2022 was placed on October 6th and officially accepted by GM on November 16th. Then on December 14th I was advised that my 2022 was produced. As of today, it still has not arrived at the dealer, but should be any day now. To address you specific question regarding how long it will take for GM to officially accept your order, it really comes down to what is called “production restraints”. If your build contains something that GM is not accepting at the moment due to computer chips or components, it won’t get accepted. That is why my order back in February never got accepted. Once those restraints are removed by GM, your order will get accepted. Your dealer knows about all of this and he will be able to tell you what is happening at the moment. Hope this helps.
Hello Amanda and Shari; Happy New Year (Jeff from Pittsburgh). My Escalade made it to Ohio on a train, but still not to the dealer yet. Hopefully this week. Shari, hope you have received better news regarding the shipment of yours.
Another great day; Jeff from Pittsburgh. My escalade has shipped and according to my dealer; looks like I will be able to pick it up one day next week. Shari, I hope you also have some good news on the shipment of your’s. Amanda, I hope your are still loving the ride!
Today is a good day; Jeff from Pittsburgh. As of today, my Escalade has been produced. So, perhaps sometimes in January I will officially get it. Almost close to 1 year from the day I order it to the day I will receive it. Wow!
Really happy for you Amanda; Jeff from Pittsburgh. It must be an amazing vehicle as the feedback from everyone is positive. Based on comments offered on this site and if nothing changes on my order, mine should be built by the end of this month. Then I am assuming another 4-6 weeks before it arrives at my dealer. Enjoy your ride and all the best.
Shari and Amanda; many thanks! I am now so excited as this is finally going to happen; journey started in February of this year. Can’t wait to hear how you both love those Escalades…..
😃 Jeff from Pittsburgh. My dealer called today to confirm that my build was officially accepted by Cadillac today. I am not worried about the process going forward, just glad to know that I am now in the system.
