It is a real shitshow how they treat their customers. This day and age of computers we should be able to logon to the website and check the progress of our order just like we do with Walmart or Amazon or any other retailer. It’s insane how their systems are so behind and out of date and I guess it explains why the Japanese manufacturers are kicking our butts. Good luck to you as I am also waiting to hear back from my dealership with any updates but with the production lines being down this week to the holiday I’m not too excited.
December 27, 2021 at 12:35 pm #85344QueenOfAllBlckVehiclesParticipantJust heard back from my dealership.
Said I’m with 6 other orders of CT5 said one guy ordered back in august and his still has not been built. I’m with everyone else of 12/13 production and nothing has happened. So idk why nothing is happeningDecember 27, 2021 at 1:13 pm #85366Tedluby@optonline.netParticipantOrdered mine September 23rd and I think I’m in the same situation and with the factory and being closed for the holiday I don’t think anything will happen until the week of January 3rd. I don’t mind the wait of a little longer but the lack of communication and the uncertainty are the big problem
December 27, 2021 at 1:45 pm #85369QueenOfAllBlckVehiclesParticipantYeah forsure
I understand being closed to holidays and even if they were like hey it’s probably gonna be another 3 months before your car is ready is fine. It’s just the no communication or true updates.
I work in the car industry and other companies have been giving updates along the wayDecember 27, 2021 at 1:48 pm #85370Tedluby@optonline.netParticipantYep. I ordered a new BMW back in 2012 and was able to track it myself on their website every step of the way including shipping and the cargo ship that was on. It’s amazing how far behind General Motors is. But at least we’re in line for production which I think means all the parts have been allocated so it should not be too much longer.
December 31, 2021 at 9:22 am #85530ecaravanosParticipantMy CT5 still in status 3400 for two weeks now. They cannot provide more info. It really is unbelievable that after a year we are still facing these delay issues.
December 31, 2021 at 9:58 am #85531Tedluby@optonline.netParticipantWe are all stuck in the same situation and won’t know anything until January 4 when everybody gets back to work in the line to get back up and running unfortunately. My dealer implied that I might see the car by January 20 but I am doubtful on anything at this point until the car is produced.
December 31, 2021 at 12:30 pm #85532ecaravanosParticipantTed, wishing you and all a Happy New Year, and let’s be optimistic that we shall both have our new cars in January. Best, Manny
December 31, 2021 at 3:24 pm #85535Tedluby@optonline.netParticipantSame to you. We’re getting closer by the day. 🙂
January 3, 2022 at 1:08 pm #85626QueenOfAllBlckVehiclesParticipantJust got a different update from Cadillac chat.
Said car is in production as of week 12/13 said production takes 10-12 weeks roughly.
Said dealership can see more information Cadillac chat is limited to what they can see.January 3, 2022 at 1:21 pm #85627Tedluby@optonline.netParticipant10 to 12 weeks they must be on some kind of drugs or something.. never heard of something so crazy but I’m finding that these chat sessions I engage with Cadillac are getting to be useless. My dealer says the production lines are back up tomorrow and also the regional manager is back at work so I should have some more accurate updated information on my order and also others that I can pass along
January 3, 2022 at 1:26 pm #85628QueenOfAllBlckVehiclesParticipantYeah I swore my dealership said it took a week for production but I might might have misunderstood he said the longest part was just travel time of the vehicle getting here
January 3, 2022 at 1:40 pm #85630Tedluby@optonline.netParticipantI was told it takes about three days to produce the vehicle from start to finish. Then I guess it depends on how fast he gets put on the train and then from the train depot to the truck to your dealer. This is definitely been an experience and I can’t wait until I start getting the surveys after I take delivery of the car to really express my opinion on the whole process😝
January 5, 2022 at 10:09 am #85720ecaravanosParticipantMy dealer claims that many factors are causing delay, rail shipping delays, truck driver shortage because of Covid (everything is blamed on Covid), the holidays etc. He is still hopeful for a January delivery, but I am not holding my breath! Happy New Year All.
January 5, 2022 at 11:46 am #85721Tedluby@optonline.netParticipantVisited Mike dealer yesterday and he put a call in to the regional manager and we’re still waiting to hear back from him. Nicole Cadillac directly this morning and got the usual running around but still telling me that my vehicle is set for production but to be patient because these things take time. That’s really some answer to give a customer has been waiting since the end of September. Most people would just walk away and go get a different car but I really been set on the ct5 so we’ll hang in there for now and see what we hear back from the manager. If your dealer is still telling you to be hopeful for January I guess that is some good news🤔
