As the sales figures show year after year, the Cadillac CT4 is often overlooked, with its bigger brother, the CT5, getting most of the attention. Perhaps that’s why the smaller sedan is being discontinued without any plans for a replacement, while the latter is set to receive a second-generation model. Of course, given the tendencies of human nature, it’s likely only a matter of time before buyers want what they can’t have: a brand-new CT4.

And, of course, the pickings are slim when it comes to any new vehicle with a manual transmission – which the CT4-V Blackwing offers as standard.

Between the unique powertrain, third pedal, relatively lighter weight, and lower price point, the smaller and more nimble CT4-V Blackwing (when compared to the CT5-V BW) might be missed by enthusiasts, even if (or when?) a second-gen CT5-V Blackwing is in the cards.

If you’re after a CT4-V Blackwing, then you’ll need to act fast. At the time of this writing, current inventory sits at a 100-day supply. This translates to roughly 1,680 cars, which includes both 2025 and 2026 model-year units of the CT4, CT4-V, and CT4-V Blackwing. That said, the amount of units equipped with a manual transmission is certainly a rare sight.

For reference, a search for new CT4-V Blackwing sedans equipped with a manual transmission is less than 73 available nationwide. That number grows to just over 1,687 when searching for a new CT4 in any configuration. That might seem like plenty, but once buyers catch wind of the finite supply, that aforementioned human nature might kick in and wipe out the remaining supply faster than expected.
