The Cadillac V-Series.R made its competition debut for the 2023 IMSA season, and has seen plenty of on-track success since then. The new race car will also be available for racing in the digital realm, and is even featured on the cover of the latest installment in the Forza series of simulator-style racing games, Forza Motorsport.
The Cadillac V-Series.R featured on the forthcoming videogame’s cover bears the No. 01 on its doors, along with a yellow livery similar to that of its real life counterpart. It’s joined by its corporate cousin, the all-electric 2024 Chevy Corvette E-Ray, indicating that both vehicles will be available to play with in-game.
In a statement, Forza said that the digital version of the V-Series.R and E-Ray will be shown in-depth during the Xbox Games Showcase on June 11th, 2023, followed by a full walkthrough of the game’s single player career during the Forza Monthly event on June 13th. Forza Motorsport, the eighth installment in the Xbox and PC-exclusive racing franchise, is expected to be released by the end of the 2023 calendar year.
Prior to this year, Cadillac did not have much of a presence in the Forza series, but the luxury marque has recently made a few of its vehicles available for play in the digital world. The Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing and Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing super sedans recently joined the lineup in Forza Horizon 5, an arcade-style open world racing game. The two ultra-high-performance sedans were offered for a limited time via the the game’s seasonal rewards. It’s not clear at this time if the Blackwings will be offered for in-game purchase in the future, or if they will be made available in Forza Motorsport when it releases.
