Cadillac China Sales Increase 36.3 Percent To 66,523 UnitsĀ InĀ Second Quarter 2019

Cadillac China sales totaled 66,523 new vehicles in the second quarter of 2019, an increase of 36.3 percent compared to Q2 2018.

Cadillac China did not break out individual model sales for the quarter. It did, however, state that it launched the refreshed XT5 luxury crossover SUV with 30 upgraded features. Since its introduction in 2016, the XT5 become one of Cadillac’s most popular vehicles in China and the brand’s most popular model globally, by sales volume.

In addition, a Cadillac press release stated that it will launch the all-new three-row XT6 crossover SUV in the third quarter. It will join the XT4 and XT5 to solidify the brandā€™s position in the steadily growing luxury SUV segment.

After that, Cadillac will also launch the all-new CT5 compact luxury sedan in China later this year as part of its global strategy to introduce one new model every six months thru 2021.

In the first six months of 2019, Cadillac China sales decreased a slight 0.1 percent to 178,905 units.

  1. Will I be able to purchase a CT5 OR A CT6 PHEV and if so when?

    • The CT5 is going on sale in about 3 months I believe. The CT6 Plug in was dropped due to lack of sales in the US. I think it’s still available in China.

    • Perhaps you misunderatood, but the CT6 PHEV is not available in the US. They weren’t built in the US either, they were importednfrom China where there is demand for them. I do not think you can order one from China. You could contact Cadillac through their website and ask.
