very true. I had a 2012 BMW Gran Turismo. Loved that car. Still regret getting rid of it but was scared about repairs after five years.

Just for the heck of it I test drove a new BMW 5 Series yesterday but went back to the ct5 that one dealer had on the floor and it just fit me like a glove. The seats and the driving position are just so comfortable.

We’ll see what happens when it comes in but it’s pretty much identical to what I have on order so I think I’m going to go with it. I have never been this stressed out about a car. General Motors really needs to get with the program and update their ordering process and ability for customers to track thrur orders.

It’s a 21 instead of a 22 but there’s really not much difference and I couldn’t believe it’s got pretty much all the options that I ordered except the parking package which I really don’t need. Satin steel with the maple sugar and even the $600 diamond cut wheels that I wanted. It has to be fake so I figured I’d give it a shot. At least I know I’ll grab something. Good luck

Contact the Cadillac and my dealer again today and still no update for my order. Cadillac told me because of the holidays and other chip related issues that it would probably be another three to four weeks before my car is produced with the batch that it has been assigned to. Took a chance to a ride to a different Cadillac dealer today and they have one coming into their dealership that meets all my specifications exactly. Put a deposit on it so either way I’ll be getting a car soon. This new dealer was so friendly and helpful and everything was completely stress-free. It’s almost like it was made to happen.

Wow that’s great news. Going to have to get on my dealer tomorrow. Was your target production week also December 13th?

Good to see at least somebody on this form is making progress. My regional rep I was just informed has relocated to another region. Between the chats and the dealership they have all been totally useless. I’m actually going to look at a BMW 5 series tomorrow just to see if it’s something I might want to consider in case this whole deal goes south.

It seems General Motors has the worst ordering systems in place. I know people that have ordered Fords and raible to track the progress on your cell phone. I ordered a BMW in 2012 it was able to go on the internet and track every step of the process though it just shows how far behind this company really is

Update from my dealer today is there is no update. Even the regional manager does not know what the holdup is. We were able to look in the computer and do see that 2022 year cards are being produced so I guess that’s a good sign. Call Cadillac again today with the same update of event code 3400. They say it will definitely be built but could not give me a date. Will be extending the lease on my current vehicle at the end of this week for another three months so I guess I’m just gonna sit back and wait and see what happens. Unless I find a different car in the meantime?

Will be reconnecting with my dealer tomorrow and if he has not contacted the regional manager then I will do so myself personally. I don’t like going above people’s heads and I like to follow the chain of command when I am getting nowhere it is time to take control and thanks to the internet I was able to find out this person’s direct phone number.

Still at event code 3400 with Target production week of December 13th even though today is January 10th. Same response from Cadillac chat. This would be funny if it wasn’t so sad.. “I have located your order ZZQKV1 and can see that your vehicle is at the Event Description 3400-Broadcast. You have a Target Production Week of 12/13/2021 – congratulations! I recommend reaching out 1 to 2 weeks after your target production week for your next update. It shows it is still in the production process.”

The strange thing is with the exception of the V Blackwing models there are 2022 ct4 or CT5 on the ground anywhere. And don’t mention of why?

Visited Mike dealer yesterday and he put a call in to the regional manager and we’re still waiting to hear back from him. Nicole Cadillac directly this morning and got the usual running around but still telling me that my vehicle is set for production but to be patient because these things take time. That’s really some answer to give a customer has been waiting since the end of September. Most people would just walk away and go get a different car but I really been set on the ct5 so we’ll hang in there for now and see what we hear back from the manager. If your dealer is still telling you to be hopeful for January I guess that is some good news🤔

I was told it takes about three days to produce the vehicle from start to finish. Then I guess it depends on how fast he gets put on the train and then from the train depot to the truck to your dealer. This is definitely been an experience and I can’t wait until I start getting the surveys after I take delivery of the car to really express my opinion on the whole process😝
