Was just wondering if anyone had received their 2022 ct5 yet? I see several dealers listing that they are getting them and are in transit but still don’t see any dealers that have one on the ground.

Thats where I was at weeks ago. Even though I found another car at a different dealer and took it I still keep tabs on the original one that I ordered back in September. This is the update I got from Cadillac yesterday through the Facebook chat on my original order. Thanks for reaching out. After looking into your order status further, we don’t see any changes for your CT5. We know how excited you must be and can certainly understand your frustration. Cadillac is confident that the right people are taking the necessary steps to ensure you receive only the highest quality vehicle. Thank you for your patience and for contacting us. As more information develops the dealership is in the best position to assist you. I wish you all the best and hope you get to soon.

Just don’t understand why Cadillac can’t get their act together. It seems people that order Corvettes have a better way of checking on their vehicles so it should be the same all across the platform for all General Motors products. We as customers should be able to log on to a website and track our vehicle from start to finish just like many of the foreign manufacturers do. Between the chip shortages and production screw-ups I miss information and outrageous dealer markups it makes how many people wonder if it’s all worth it. After driving the ct5 for just one day I can honestly say I’m very happy with the car but don’t know how much longer I could have held out waiting for the one that I ordered

I just checked the sticker inside the driver’s door and this 2021 car was produced in December which contradicts everything we have red saying that starting in October they were going to be producing 2022 models

As far as I know it’s just the $500 off that they are giving no big incentives but I did see an Escalade at the dealership with a markup of almost $25,000.. I have no idea if they’re serious or if they could get that kind of extra cash but made me chuckle

Well I picked up the 2021 CT5 today. It was not the 2022 that I had ordered since that car has been produced but still has not even shipped and is it event code 4000. This one was ordered by another dealer and it’s pretty much identical to what I wanted so I grabbed it, it arrived yesterday and I picked it up today and she’s sitting in my garage. I hope everyone else on this forum gets their cars soon.

That’s great news. My second choice car that was ordered by the other dealer supposedly was arriving today in Mahwah New Jersey by truck from Buffalo so hopefully we’ll have an answer tomorrow

Same with the one I ordered. Built and has a VIN but no ETA. The similar one i found is coming to the dealer tomorrow from what Cadillac tells me so will probably go with that one. I rather take it than risk loosing out and finding the one I ordered has an issue or is missing features. I see other 2022 models on their way to dealers do not have the heated steering wheel but rather a $25 credit.

That’s great news. You got a better sales team that I have with my ordered car but it looks like the other car that’s coming into the other dealership will be here by February 1st so still undecided as to which one I’m going to do it but I think we will all be driving new cars in February which is great news..

Hopefully you’ll see it soon. I’m even finding differences with the term some of the people at Cadillac use when they say vehicle has shipped. It could mean shipped from the assembly plant to the distribution Depot or it could mean shipped from the depot and on the rail car already. They really need to get their act together. I just called Cadillac again and was told that the 2021 that I found at the new dealership is only real car with an ETA of February 1st. The original car I ordered I still have no idea but all they say is that it shipped. In any case I think we’re all getting close. 😊

Very true. And to add to the confusion some dealers are now showing 2022 models in transit but yet the Cadillac website does not have any listing for 2022 if you look on your new vehicle inventory. Just total chaos. I was very fortunate to find and almost identical car to the one I ordered coming in to a different dealer so I’m probably going to go with that one since it’ll probably show up first and I can actually put my hands on it.

I agree. When I ordered mine is September I thought maybe I would have it by November and be able to enjoy it with it before the winter but getting it now with the snow and salt think I’m gonna be using it much until the weather gets better. Strange turn of events.. Found out last night through Cadillac chat that my car has been built and is waiting to be shipped. Going to be interesting how this all plays out.

I have not said anything to the salesman yet at the dealer I ordered the car from. When I see this other one arrive and I can actually touch it and feel it and sign the paperwork then I will tell him that I found something else and since I never signed a contract or left a deposit there is nothing really binding except the order that has my name on it. Initially they said they really didn’t care if I backed out at any time because it’s a car that they would want and that they could easily sell since they are so hard to come by. Want to keep all my options open just in case..

I wish you the best of luck my friend
I ordered my car on September 23rd and it was set for Target production week of December 13th and is still stuck at event code 3400. I was lucky enough to find a car almost identical to one I ordered from another dealership which is already built and on its way in so I’m probably going to take that one instead. The whole process has not been a good experience partially because of the chip shortage but also the way that GM and the dealers communicate with the customers is just terrible. This forum is a great place of info and updates so keep us posted
