looks like good new for those of us waiting for a CT5:
Cadillac has announced that it will retrofit vehicles that were built without the heated and ventilated seat as well as heated steering wheel features sometime in 2022. As Cadillac Society reported earlier, the comfort features became temporarily unavailable due to the ongoing global microchip shortage wreaking havoc in the automotive industry.

As a result, Cadillac was forced to temporarily restrict availability of heated and ventilated seats plus heated steering wheels as supply constraints prevented the inclusion of the features in some 2022 model year vehicles. The deletion of heated steering wheels affected the CT4 and CT5 luxury sedans as well as the XT4, XT5 and XT6 luxury crossovers, while heated and ventilated seats were withheld from only the XT4, XT5 and XT6. Owners will be credited with $50 per vehicle to compensate for the inconvenience.

Cadillac web site finally has the 2022 CT5 Build and Price tool available.

Finally. Mine is scheduled to be produced next week but I won’t believe it until I get the confirmation

I’ve noticed that if you order Premium carpeted floor mats ($225 option) this will delete the standard floormats, so you don’t get TWO sets of mats.
The premium mats are the same price if you buy them directly from the dealer, so I’m going to do that, so I get both mat sets.

Just ordered and received a set of clear all weather mats which I have bought for previous cars before. They are called Hexamat and our custom fit and really do a great job. They hold up well and a very easy to clean and have the cutouts for the clips that are in the floor of the car to hold them in place. Front and rear set is about $115

Just asked for an update on my CT5 currently at 3400 status 🙌🏻 Production week being this week hopefully

That’s great to hear the same for me as well. Don’t know if we will get to see them by the end of the year but we can always hope for a Christmas miracle.

Dealer told me CT5 being built this week and to check next Monday for a VIN. Should also know a possible delivery date and if heated seats and heated steering will be available or installed later.

👍👍. From what I have read it looks like the heated seats are not affected on the CT5 so it may just be the steering wheel that we have to be concerned about. Also saw that Cadillac will be able to retrofit the steering wheels if we don’t get ours so we may be in good shape after all.

    Hopefully 🎁👏🏻
My dealer said the longest part is waiting on transportation for the vehicle to get here.

It’s all out of our hands at this point. Once the car is physically built and we’re over the biggest hurdle.

Just found out that my vehicle was not built last week as anticipated and now it’s back to status 3300. One person said production week of January 10th but have not been able to confirm and no one knows why

According to my dealer, my CT5 is at 3400 = Broadcast (Order is sent to various build & supplier areas to bring order together).

That’s where I was at last week now I’m back to 3300 as of today but that could change. We’ll have to keep checking daily. I don’t trust any of them until it is built

How are you getting your updates?
I just contacted Cadillac live chat and they just said same thing as last week.

I have located your order and can see that your vehicle is at the Event Description 3400-Broadcast. You have a Target Production Week of 12/13/2021 – congratulations! I recommend reaching out 1 to 2 weeks after your target production week for your next update.
