The new-for-2025 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing Le Monstre Special Edition pays homage to the 1950 24 Hours of Le Mans, celebrating Cadillac’s rich motorsport heritage with a nod to one of its legendary race cars that competed in the event. Buyers of the limited edition Le Monstre can take their luxury super sedan to the next level of track performance by opting for the Precision Package – also new for 2025 – since both can be optioned together.
When Cadillac Society Executive Editor, Alex Luft, asked whether the high-performance Precision Package could be added to the CT5-V Blackwing Le Monstre, Cadillac Executive Chief Engineer, Brandon Vivian, confirmed with a straightforward “yes.” That means there’s nothing stopping CT5-V Blackwing enthusiasts from creating a “Precise Monster” out of their special edition super sedan.
The 2025 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing Le Monstre Special Edition is dressed with accents inspired by the legendary Caddy race car of the same name. This race car took on the 1950 24 Hours of Le Mans, finishing 11th after an early-race incident and wore a stylized No. 2 on its doors. That same digit is carried by the CT5-V Blackwing Le Monstre Edition, visible on a decal in the lower corners of the front two doors. A “Le Monstre” inscription decorates the carbon fiber side skirt just below the rear doors. The luxury super sedan features a Magnus Metal Frost paint scheme with Stormhawk Blue carbon fiber accents and Royal Blue brake calipers.
The CT5-V Blackwing Precision Package, meanwhile, bundles suspension upgrades like increased spring rates, a larger front stabilizer bar, revised suspension bushings, new front steering knuckles, and a carbon ceramic brake package for improved roadholding abilities at speed. The package also recalibrates certain vehicle subsystems for optimal performance, including Magnetic Ride Control dampers, steering, chassis control, and the electronic limited slip differential.
Under the hood, the 2025 CT5-V Blackwing continues to cradle the supercharged 6.2L V8 gasoline engine (production code LT4), rated at 668 horsepower and 659 pound-feet of torque, which mates to either the standard manual or optional automatic transmission.
Regardless of transmission, rear-wheel-drive is the sole drivetrain option. Neither the Le Monstre nor the Precision Package make change to engine output.
The Precision Package can be paired with either transmission option, adding a healthy $18,000 to the overall price of the super sedan.
