Built to be a menace on track and a luxurious ride on the streets, the 2025 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing demands attention and respect wherever it treads. In case the stock luxury super sedan’s performance isn’t enough, the new Precision Package makes the CT5-V Blackwing even more of a threat on (and off) the racetrack than it already is. Cadillac Society has now discovered exactly what this package will cost.
Sources familiar with the matter tell Cadillac Society that the 2025 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing Precision Package will add $18,000 to the overall cost of the super sedan, which itself starts at $96,990. The Precision Package was designed to improve the CT5-V Blackwing’s roadholding abilities, increasing path precision and cornering speed without turning into a teeth-chattering track-only machine, and its content certainly justifies the steep price.
Specifically, the package bundles suspension upgrades like increased spring rates, a larger front stabilizer bar, new bushings, new steering knuckles, and new rear toe links. These upgrades help the driver tackle corners on track with specially calibrated Magnetic Ride Control dampers, steering, chassis control, and Electronic Limited-Slip Differential. Meanwhile, stopping power is provided by carbon ceramic brakes.
“We built this vehicle to set records on some of toughest tracks around the world and reward the most discerning driving enthusiast,” said Brandon Vivian, executive chief engineer, Cadillac. “This new Precision Package will enable the CT5-V Blackwing to be incredibly light on its feet at all speeds – both on road and track.”
The improved suspension helps keep the CT5-V Blackwing’s combination of 668 horsepower and 659 pound-feet of torque in check, produced by its supercharged V8 engine (production code LT4). Additionally, buyers of the Precision Package have their choice of the six-speed manual transmission or the 10-speed automatic, as it can be added in conjunction with either one. Regardless of the transmission, the 2025 CT5-V Blackwing exclusively delivers power to the pavement via the rear two wheels.
Production for the 2025 CT5-V Blackwing Precision Package will begin at the Lansing Grand River plant in Michigan in early 2025, while production of the “regular” 2025 Cadillac CT5-V and CT5-V Blackwing began in mid-July 2024.
