As Cadillac continues to exclude its first-ever fully electric vehicle from any sort of incentives or deals, Cadillac Lyriq discount offers are non-existent during September 2023. This isn’t a surprise, as this has been the status quo since the Lyriq’s launch.
However, while the luxury marque itself is not offering any Cadillac Lyriq discount this month, buyers of certain new luxury crossovers with electric powertrains may be eligible to take advantage of the $7,500 Federal EV Tax Credit.
Interestingly, despite apparent high demand for the Lyriq, shoppers in the market for a luxury EV crossover still can’t view available Lyriq inventory on the luxury marque’s website, as recently noted by Cadillac Society. While the Lyriq’s launch was received with much fanfare, sales have left something to be desired, left in the dust by competitors like the Tesla Model Y.
Looking ahead, Cadillac is working on substantially increasing supply of the Lyriq, as production remains the biggest constraint behind higher sales.
Interest in the Lyriq will only expand from here, as Cadillac is expected to soon launch the high-performance Lyriq-V. As previously reported by Cadillac Society, the Lyriq-V will feature unique exterior accents, building on the current Sport trim. Additionally, the all-wheel-drive setup of the Lyriq-V will be more powerful than that of its “regular” Lyriq AWD counterpart. All this could very well make the Lyriq-V a hot commodity, thereby boosting interest in and demand for the model even further, potentially discouraging the luxury marque from offering any incentives on the model.

Cadillac absolutely should provide a discount for people who have waited a year or more to have their Lyriq built. This is ridiculous! Way to ad entire a great product and then have your customers buy elsewhere.

Not only is their no discount, but there is no price protection. The Lyriq Luxury level AWD went up about $1300 from introductory pricing to the current model. Those of us waiting a year or more for the vehicle has watched zero availability while the MSRP rises. Not only are there no price protection or discounts (which I guess no one is owed), but loyal employees do not get a discount on this (or other high demand models). Well, maybe they will fold the missing discounts into the coming UAW package so someone will benefit.
(I am kind of on both sides of the benefit/cost ‘fence’ since I have a family member who works for GM as a UAW member, but I am also a stockholder.)
