2024 Cadillac XT5 To Drop These Three Paint Colors

The 2024 Cadillac XT5 continues the luxury crossover’s first generation without major changes and updates. Now, Cadillac Society has learned that the 2024 model will drop three exterior colors that were previously available for the 2023 model year.

According to sources familiar with the matter, the 2024 Cadillac XT5 will no longer be available in the following colors (relevant paint codes listed in parentheses):

  • Latte Metallic (G5D)
  • Rosewood Metallic (GCK)
  • Wilder Metallic (GED)

Each of these colors were an extra-cost option for the 2023 XT5, adding $625 to the overall cost of the luxury crossover. It should come as no surprise that the hues have been discontinued for the forthcoming 2024 model year, as Latte Metallic, Rosewood Metallic and Wilder Metallic have all been built out for the 2023 model year XT5, indicating that the luxury marque is no longer producing the paint.

The three aforementioned paint colors are expected to be replaced by the following new colors:

  • Emerald Lake Metallic (G61)
  • Midnight Sky Metallic (GXF)

As of this writing, there are no photos of either of the new colors, and pricing has yet to be released.

Riding on the C1 platform, the Luxury and Premium Luxury trim levels of the 2024 Cadillac XT5 will continue to be powered by the turbocharged 2.0L I4 engine (production code LSY) as standard, which is rated at 237 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. These models are identifiable by the 350T badge on the liftgate.

Meanwhile, the naturally-aspirated 3.6L V6 engine (production code LGX), rated at 310 horsepower and 271 pound-feet of torque, will be optional on the Premium Luxury trim and standard on the Sport trim. These models can be identified by the 400 badge on the liftgate.

The 2024 Cadillac XT5 is expected to enter production at the Cadillac Spring Hill plant in Tennessee in June 2023, thereby concluding production for the 2023 model year. The luxury crossover will continue without any major changes for the 2024 and 2025 model years before it makes its exit from the North American market. However, the Chinese market will receive an overhauled XT5 within roughly a year. We recently spied a prototype undergoing testing during blizzard conditions, and then again during temperate weather.

  1. I’m on my second Crystal White Metallic XT5 and considering a third when my lease is up. As long as they don’t drop that color, I’m good !!!

  2. A shame about Latte Metallic (G5D) Rosewood Metallic (GCK). My 2012 SRX is gold mist and looks really good. They need to bring in Navy Blue and Burgundy ( Buick Garnet Red )
