Cadillac Canada Sales Up 38 Percent In Third Quarter 2022

Cadillac Canada sales increased 38 percent to 4,173 units during the third quarter of 2022.

Individual model sales performance was as follows:

Cadillac CT4 sales decreased 4 percent to 192 units
Cadillac CT5 sales increased 74.73 percent to 325 units
Cadillac CT6 sales were flat at 0 units
Cadillac Escalade sales decreased 20.92 percent to 722 units
Cadillac Escalade ESV sales increased 13.67 percent to 241 units
Cadillac XT4 sales increased 388.19 percent to 1,157 units
Cadillac XT5 sales increased 29 percent to 1,121 units
Cadillac XT6 sales increased 2.72 percent to 415 units

During the first nine month of the 2022 calendar year, Cadillac Canada sales were flat at 11,411 units.

The Cadillac Society Take

After enduring four consecutive quarters of sales declines, Cadillac Canada sales experienced a healthy increase during the third quarter of 2022. The increase was the result of a significant improvement in production and ensuing inventory availability at dealerships. With this, the luxury brand recovered 1,152 units compared to the result of the third quarter of 2021, maintaining the volume momentum that began in Q2 2022.

The sales growth during Q3 was led by the Cadillac XT4, which not only posted the highest growth rate in the portfolio but was also the brand’s best-selling model during the quarter. The Cadillac XT5 followed closely behind in second place thanks to a healthy double-digit increase year-over-year. The CT5, Escalade ESV and XT6 were also in the green.

By contrast, the Cadillac Escalade and CT4 were in the red during the quarter. The full-size SUV suffered its second quarterly drop since the launch of the fifth-generation model in Canada. In fact, Q3 was the second consecutive quarter that both the Cadillac XT4 and XT5 outsold the Escalade in the Canadian market.
