2023 Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing Gets Optional Enclosed Shipping

2023 Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing Gets Optional Enclosed Shipping

Buyers of a new 2023 Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing who wish to protect their super sedan from the elements during the shipping process will have the opportunity to do so.

A Cadillac spokesperson has confirmed to Cadillac Society that customers will be able to opt to have their CT4-V Blackwing transported in an enclosed shipping carrier to keep it safe and sound in transit from the assembly plant to the dealer. It will still be shipped via a standard transport truck, but it will be enclosed rather than open on all sides.

The enclosed shipping carrier option is tagged with production code XES and is available at an extra cost to any buyer of a 2023 Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing. Pricing will vary depending on the distance between the plant and the dealership.

The 2023 model year marks the second for the ultra-high-performance Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing, which was introduced back in 2022 as part of the CT4 range of luxury sedans. The 2023 CT4-V Blackwing will continue to feature the twin-turbocharged V6 engine (production code LF4), capable of producing up to 472 horsepower and 445 pound-feet of torque. All those horses meet the pavement by way of either the standard six-speed manual transmission or 10-speed automatic, throwing power exclusively through the rear two wheels.

The 2023 model year will feature some minor differences over its 2022 model year predecessor, including the addition of a new paint color known as Maverick Noir Frost. There aren’t any photos of the new color yet, but judging by the “Frost” moniker, it will have a matte finish similar to that of the Dark Emerald Frost color offered for a limited time in the 2022 model  year.

It’s also worth noting that buyers  of the CT4-V Blackwing’s larger sibling, the Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing, will also have the option to have their super sedan shipped in an enclosed carrier.
