2022 Cadillac CT4 Onyx Package Unavailable To Order

The 2022 Cadillac CT4 is no longer available to order with the Onyx Package, Cadillac Society has learned.

The Onyx Package is an exterior accent package that upgrades the luxury sedan’s styling with a set of dark-themed cosmetic components. It was first introduced to the CT4 for the 2022 model year as an LPO-level item, meaning that it was installed by a dealer rather than on the assembly line at the factory. When available, it was offered on Luxury, Premium Luxury and Sport trim levels.

The Onyx Package for the 2022 Cadillac CT4 contained the following cosmetic components (relevant production codes in parentheses):

  • 19-inch alloy wheels with Gloss Black finish (SOU)
  • Black mirror caps (5JS)
  • Black grille (5XR)
  • Monochrome Cadillac emblems (SFZ)
  • Gloss Black grille trim (E5K)

Pricing of the Onyx Package for the 2022 Cadillac CT4 was $2,995 when equipped on a vehicle with Premium Luxury trim, and $3,195 for the Luxury (base) and Sport trim levels. At this time, it’s not clear when the Onyx Package could become available again.

It’s worth noting that the Black grille that was offered as part of the Onyx Package for the 2022 CT4 was offered as a standalone option that cost $625. The grille was also recently removed from the order books, and it’s unclear when it will return.

Interestingly, the Onyx Package is also currently unavailable for the 2022 Cadillac XT4 luxury crossover, but Cadillac recently replaced it with an XT4 Onyx Lite package. For a short time, the exterior accent package was also excluded from the Cadillac Escalade, but its unavailability for the full-size luxury SUV has since been resolved

As a reminder, the base engine in the 2022 Cadillac CT4 350T is the turbocharged 2.0L I4 (production code LSY), rated at 237 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. This boosted four-pot is standard on the Luxury, Premium Luxury, and Sport trim levels. Meanwhile, the turbocharged 2.7L I4 (production code L3B) is optional on the CT4 Premium Luxury, rated at 310 horsepower and 350 pound-feet of torque. This model can be identified by the 500T badge on the decklid. All aforementioned CT4 trims are offered in either rear- or all-wheel drive.
