The 2022 Cadillac XT4 has added a new exterior accent package called Onyx Lite, Cadillac Society has learned.
The new Onyx Lite Package is an LPO-level exterior cosmetic accent set, meaning that it is installed by a dealer rather than on the assembly line. It features similar cosmetic add-ons as the regular Onyx Package (production code PCP), while serving as a temporary replacement for the latter, which is currently unavailable to order for the 2022 XT4.

The Onyx Lite Package adds the following components to the 2022 Cadillac XT4 (relevant production codes in parentheses):
- 20-inch Gloss Black wheels (SKW)
- P245/45R20 all-season tires (XD9)
- Gloss Black XT4 nameplate (RIK)
- Monochrome Cadillac emblems (SFZ)
The Onyx Lite Package is available on all XT4 trim levels, including Luxury, Premium Luxury and Sport. Pricing details haven’t yet been announced. However, the aforementioned components total up to $2,495 when their individual prices are added together. They will likely be a little less expensive when bundled together as part of the Onyx Lite Package.
The regular Onyx Package – which costs $2,695 when it is available – includes the following components (relevant production code in parentheses):
- Black surround grille with Black mesh (RZ9)
- 20-inch Gloss Black wheels (SKW)
- P245/45R20 all-season tires (XD9)
- Monochrome Cadillac emblems (SFZ)

As such, the two differences between the two packages is that regular Onyx package gets the Black surround grille with Black mesh, which the Onyx Lite package doesn’t have. Meanwhile, the Onyx Lite package features Gloss Black XT4 nameplate badging, which the regular Onyx package didn’t have. Interestingly, this grille is still available to order as a standalone option for $580. At this time, it’s not clear if the Onyx Lite Package will completely replace the regular Onyx Package on the 2022 Cadillac XT4, or if it will be offered side-by-side with the regular package.
As a reminder, the 2022 Cadillac XT4 features one drivetrain option in North America – the turbocharged 2.0L I4 engine (production code LSY), rated at 235 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. It bolts to Cadillac’s nine-speed automatic transmission. Production takes place at the Cadillac Fairfax Plant in Kansas.
