Cadillac Blackwing Owners Can Get Individual Replacement Carbon Fiber Pieces

The Cadillac Blackwing ultra-high-performance sedans are offered with optional carbon fiber packages that add various carbon fiber components to a vehicle’s exterior for added visual appear and higher levels of downforce. As of this writing, the only way to get the packages is to build them with the vehicle, meaning that it’s impossible to purchase the packages after the vehicle purchase. As a result, several Blackwing owners have reached out to us asking about a hypothetical scenario wherein a single carbon fiber component gets damaged on their vehicle. Would owners, in that case, have to purchase the contents of an entire package in order to replace a single piece?

We reached out to Cadillac, and were told by a spokesperson that it’s not necessary to purchase an entire carbon fiber package in order to get a replacement piece. Blackwing owners are able to request individual carbon fiber components to replace damaged ones, with the process taking place via Cadillac dealers.

“If a single piece is damaged, a customer could request to receive a replacement part through their dealer rather than ordering another full package,” the Cadillac spokesperson said. This option is only available to current Cadillac Blackwing owners who already have a Carbon Fiber Package installed on their vehicle.

That said, the acquisition of said carbon fiber components could prove difficult. As Cadillac Society recently reported, both Carbon Fiber packages for the 2022 Cadillac Blackwing super sedans are constrained. This includes the Carbon Fiber 1 Package and Carbon Fiber 2 Package, each available for the CT4-V Blackwing or the CT5-V Blackwing under normal circumstances. It’s currently unclear what factor is responsible for the limited Carbon Fiber Package availability, or when the constraints will ease.

For reference, here is the content and pricing of two CT4-V Blackwing Carbon Fiber Packages:

Carbon Fiber 1 Package – $4,350

  • Front splitter
  • Front wheel well deflectors
  • Front dive planes
  • Rear extra aero spoiler

Carbon Fiber 2 Package – $2,650

  • Rocker moldings
  • Rocker extensions
  • Rear valance diffuser

And here are the details about two optional CT5-V Blackwing Carbon Fiber Packages:

Carbon Fiber 1 Package – $4,100

  • Front splitter
  • Front wheel well deflectors
  • Rear extra aero spoiler

Carbon Fiber 2 Package – $5,230

  • Grille header
  • Rocker moldings
  • Rocker extensions
  • Rear valance diffuser

It should be noted that the Carbon Fiber 2 Package on both Cadillac Blackwing models requires the addition of the Carbon Fiber 1 Package.
