Some Of The Very First 250 CT5-V Blackwing Sedans Still Available At Dealers

Cadillac launched the 2022 CT5-V Blackwing by opening reservations for the very first 250 units of the luxury super sedan. These special edition models were spoken for in a mere three minutes after reservations opened, and – besides the vehicle – included several additional perks. Now, Cadillac Society has confirmed that at least one of these initial 250 units of the CT5-V Blackwing is currently available at dealers.

The first unit is available for purchase from Classic Cadillac in Atlanta, Georgia. This CT5-V Blackwing is finished in Summit White that contrasts tastefully with its various dark exterior accents. The interior of this Cadillac Blackwing is finished in Jet Black with Jet Black accents. Cadillac Society has confirmed that this is one of the first 250 units to be produced and is therefore considered a collector’s car. Setting it apart from subsequent units are a pair of unique plaques as well as a gift included with its purchase.

The luxury super sedan features the optional 10-speed automatic transmission and is listed at $118,285. The dealer does not specify exactly how much this vehicle’s price has been marked up from MSRP.

The second is currently for sale at Central Cadillac in Cleveland, Ohio. It sports a Black Raven exterior, as well as an interior furnished in Natural Tan with Jet Black accents. It features the standard six-speed manual transmission and carries an MSRP of $94,625. Not to be left out of the money grab opportunity, the dealership is tacking on an additional $35,000 adjustment to the price to reflect a “fair market value.” That puts the ultra-high-performance sedan’s total asking price at a cool $129,625.

Cadillac Society has since learned that this particular model was not one of the original 250 CT5-V Blackwings.

Both of these CT5-V Blackwing super sedans harness the supercharged 6.2L engine (production code LT4), rated at a whopping 668 horsepower and 669 pound-feet of torque. The 2022 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing represents the highest-performing and most track-ready model in the luxury marque’s history. It is offered exclusively in rear-wheel-drive, since all-wheel-drive is not offered.

Production of the 2022 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing kicked off almost five months ago, with the first units rolling off the assembly line on July 7th, 2021, and began arriving at dealers a month later. The aforementioned additional perks for the first 250 reservation holders included the first 250 serial numbers, a certificate of authenticity, a gift, and an invite to the Cadillac V-Series Performance Academy at the Spring Mountain Resort in Nevada.

  1. No wonder these great cars are still sitting. Dealer greed! Wouldn’t it be fitting if these dealers had to deeply discount the remaining inventories.
