2024 Cadillac XT5: Here’s The New Midnight Sky Metallic Color

The 2024 Cadillac XT5 gains two new exterior colors, including Midnight Sky Metallic and Emerald Lake Metallic. Here’s a first look at the Midnight hue.

Tagged with paint code GXF and touch-up paint code WA-132H, Midnight Sky Metallic is offered on all three 2024 Cadillac XT5 trim levels, including Luxury, Premium Luxury and Sport, as a $625 option. It is one of seven exterior colors available for the luxury crossover, and can be paired with all interior colorways

As a reminder, the exterior and interior colors available for the 2024 Cadillac XT5 are as follows (relevant paint codes listed in parentheses):

Under the skin, 2024 Cadillac XT5 Luxury and Premium Luxury trims are motivated by the turbocharged 2.0L I4 engine (production code LSY) as standard. The boosted four is rated at 237 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque, and models with this powertrain are identifiable by the 350T badge on the liftgate. The naturally-aspirated 3.6L V6 engine (production code LGX), rated at 310 horsepower and 271 pound-feet of torque, is optional on Premium Luxury trim and standard on Sport trim. These models can be identified by the 400 badge on the liftgate. Front-wheel-drive (FWD) is standard on Luxury and Premium Luxury trims while all-wheel-drive (AWD) is optional; the Sport trim is exclusively available with AWD.

Looking ahead, the Cadillac XT5 will indeed be offered in the U.S. as a 2025 model year vehicle, although it is not expected to undergo any major changes. In other words, the 2025 XT5 for the U.S. will not be the all-new second-generation XT5 that will be available exclusively in China

Production of the 2025 XT5, which will continue taking place at the Cadillac Spring Hill plant in Tennessee, is expected to begin in July 2024.
