Cadillac CT5 Rumors, Questions & General Discussions

I just checked on the original car that I had ordered today and back in September and it’s still at event code 4000 and they say available to ship pending final approval. I have no idea what the heck that means but yeah I see 2022 models that have been ordered by the others for stock that are starting to arrive so I really don’t understand. I’m just very fortunate that I found a 2021 that was almost identical to the one I ordered and I grabbed it a month ago. This is really a total nightmare the entire process for everyone. No one seems to have any answers or any accurate and definite information.

So I stopped in and spoke with the dealer today. He was able to show me on the computer that mine is now at 3000. He said that there was a targeted production week of 3-14, however everything I read says that they don’t have a TPW until it reaches 3300. Anyway, as far as the delivery delays on completed vehicles, he mentioned that getting trucks/drivers has been a huge issue. I can attest to that as we struggle with the same freight challenges in our business. Anyway, sitting at 3000… Who knows how long it will take from here…

This is depressing. I have a target production week of 3/28, and was hoping transport would only take a week or two. (I’m in Ohio.)

have a 2021 CT5 Premium Luxury and the sound system is very underwhleming, at max volume wether FM, bluetooth, carplay or USB, it is very low.

At max volume you can still have a conversation without screaming. If you lower windows and have the audio at max volume you have trouble making out the words. Has anyone else had this issue? I took the car the dealer and they compared it to other CT5s and its the standard. My mother has a 2019 XT4 with the standard sound systme and the difference in max volume is significant.

They repalced the amplifier and radio but made no difference its just how the car is designed. I escalated the issue to GM, they had an engineer come out and once again said its just how the car is designed.

Any suggestions or tips would be greatly appreciated.

I have the 2021 premium luxury as well with the premium Bose sound system and if I crank it up it is extremely loud and working very well. I have it set on the Centerpoint setting. Don’t know if this info will help you.

So now a week later, my status has moved from 3000 to 3400 and a TPW of 3/14 (next week). A little strange that I couldn’t get any info after ordering in September, and now it’s supposed to be produced next week. I know these aren’t always accurate, and shipping the cars has been an issue, so we’ll see…

Finally received the call today from my dealership car is finally on the train 🎉
