The refreshed 2025 Cadillac Escalade is set to deliver a host of welcome changes to the full-size luxury SUV, highlighted by a refreshed front fascia design that will share quite a few cues with that of the Escalade IQ, as evidenced by a prototype Cadillac Society spotted recently. Now, we’re taking a second look at that prototype, because it reveals another interesting detail: the 2025 Escalade rolls on a set of brand new wheels.
As per our previous coverage, the forthcoming Escalade will offer a set of new 24-inch wheels – the largest ever offered by the luxury marque right from the factory – and that’s exactly what’s on display on this prototype. The silver-finished rollers seen on this particular 2025 Cadillac Escalade tester feature a seven-spoke layout with dark accents within the spokes, although it’s difficult to tell from this angle if these are painted pockets or treated in a different fashion. Additionally, the center caps are missing, though that’s likely not indicative of what will decorate the production model, and is instead part of Cadillac’s process to make identifying prototypes less obvious.
It’s worth noting that the 24-inch wheels on this 2025 Cadillac Escalade appear similar to what we’ve already seen on the 2025 Escalade IQ, with one important distinction. The Escalade IQ employs an eight-lug setup, while this prototype sports only six lugs, which is the case for all Escalades powered by internal combustion engines.
As previously reported, the 2025 Escalade will features a grille that’s strikingly similar to the maw of the Escalade IQ. Though they feature very different propulsion systems and are very different mechanically, the two luxury SUVs will feature familiar lighting elements, with vertical signatures running down either side of the fascia, bracketing the primary headlights. This practice, in turn, will create a sort of Escalade family.
Inside, the 2025 Escalade will also appear very similar to the Escalade IQ. That’s because it will receive a 38-inch OLED display that handles infotainment duties. This screen runs pillar to-pillar (or coast-to-coast), spanning the distance between the driver’s A-pillar and passenger’s A-pillar, just like what’s used on the Escalade IQ and Cadillac Celestiq.
