2025 Cadillac Escalade IQ Spotted Without Camo

The 2025 Cadillac Escalade IQ debuted back in August, ushering the iconic Escalade nameplate into the era of the electric vehicles. Cadillac Society spotted the full-size electric luxury SUV on several occasions before its reveal, but it was draped in camo, obscuring the finer points of its design from view. Since then, we’ve caught an Escalade IQ prototype out and about without any camo, finally giving us a good look at its unobscured exterior.

This particular unit is likely the integrated prototype we’ve been seeing all along, but with camo removed. In fact, it’s clear that this Escalade IQ wore camo at some point, judging by the damaged paint on the hood and doors, which was likely the result of removing the camouflage wrap. Additionally, some of the body panels are mismatched in color, and the luxury SUV seems to feature characteristics present in both the Sport and Luxury trims, as evidenced by the presence of both dark and bright exterior accents. However, without the camo wrap, we can clearly see that this electric luxury SUV is not quite a production model, as it’s missing the rear charge door,  which is situated just behind the left rear quarter panel.

Without camouflage, the maw of the Escalade IQ is on full display, and it’s easy to draw parallels between the luxury SUV and its smaller relative, the Cadillac Lyriq. It features a chevron-shaped “grille” with angled styling lines that direct the eye to the monochrome Caddy badge in the center. The grille itself is framed by vertical lighting elements, which contain the daytime running lamps and the headlamps, along with horizontally oriented turn signals.

A side view of the 2025 Cadillac Escalade IQ reveals large multi-spoke alloy wheels with a silver finish and black accents. The door handles are a more traditional design, deviating from the flush handles introduced on the 2024 Lyriq. The rear of this Escalade IQ, meanwhile, features a spoiler just above the dark-tinted rear window, while two layers of vertical taillights trail down either side of the rear fascia.

Built at the Detroit-Hamtramck plant, the 2025 Cadillac Escalade IQ rides on the BT1 platform and is capable of delivering a maximum 450 miles of driving range on a single charge, along with 680 horsepower and 615 pound-feet of torque in Normal Mode. Engaging Max Mode coaxes 750 horsepower and 785 pound-feet of torque from the electric driveline. Pricing starts at $130,000.
