2023 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing: Here’s The New Radiant Red Tintcoat Color

The 2023 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing adds four new exterior colors to its palette: Maverick Noir Frost, Argent Silver Metallic, Midnight Steel Metallic, and Radiant Red Tintcoat. Here’s our first look at the new red hue.

Assigned production code GNT and touch-up paint code WA-170H, Radiant Red Tintcoat is one of 10 exterior colors offered on the ultra-high-performance variant of the Cadillac CT5 luxury sedan, which include:

  • Summit White
  • Black Raven
  • Blaze Orange Metallic
  • Wave Metallic
  • Electric Blue
  • Rift Metallic
  • Radiant Red Tintcoat (new for 2023)
  • Argent Silver Metallic (new for 2023)
  • Midnight Steel Metallic (new for 2023)
  • Maverick Noir Frost (new for 2023)

The Radiant Red Tintcoat color is an extra-cost item that adds an additional $1,225 to the sedan’s price and can be combined with all three interior colorways:

  • Jet Black with Jet Black accents
  • Natural Tan with Jet Black accents
  • Sky Cool Gray with Jet Black accents

The 2023 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing arrives with just a handful of changes and updates over the 2022 model, including a standard Driver Assist Package and an optional Bronze Accent Package. The most notable changes include the addition of the Super Cruise semi-autonomous driver assist system to the options list, which was previously unavailable on the Blackwing.

The 2023 CT5-V Blackwing also gets a new standard vehicle wrap as an alternative to the available enclosed shipping carrier option. Moreover, the 2023 CT5-V Blackwing is available with a new 120th Anniversary Edition to commemorate the founding of the luxury marque in 1902. The release of the special edition follows last year’s Collector Series, which stands apart from the rest of the lineup as the first 250 CT5-V Blackwing units produced.

The 2023 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing is powered by the supercharged 6.2L V8 engine (production code LT4), rated at 668 horsepower and 659 pound-feet of torque. The six-speed manual transmission is standard, while the 10-speed automatic is optional – both exclusively feeding the rear wheels.

The Cadillac CT5 is underpinned by the Alpha 2 platform, which is shared with the Cadillac CT4. Production began at the Lansing Grand River plant in Michigan on July 18th, 2022. Production of the 2024 model year will start on July 10th, 2023.
