The Cadillac Escalade-V is the most powerful vehicle ever produced by the luxury marque, packing a supercharged eight-cylinder powerhouse under the hood along with a host of other high-performance upgrades . With all that power and performance just a tap of the throttle away, it’s easy to understand why some owners are interested in seeing just how far they can push their luxury SUV – although perhaps this one took it just a little too far, jumping their Escalade-V.

The video shows a seemingly serene setting of a grassy field, but the Cadillac Escalade-V quickly roars in to shatter that illusion. The driver is clearly interested in seeing just how fast the high-performance luxury SUV can go, bouncing through the field. Then, at the apex of a rolling hill, the Escalade-V catches some air, soaring off the ground for a few seconds before slamming back down on the downward slope. To the driver’s credit, the high-performance SUV remains under control throughout the ordeal.
As a reminder, the Cadillac Escalade-V cradles the same engine as the CT5-V Blackwing: the supercharged 6.2L V8 engine (production code LT4). Under the hood of the high-performance SUV, that blown V8 is rated at 682 horsepower and 653 pound-feet of torque. That engine bolts to Cadillac’s 10-speed automatic transmission, sending power to all four wheels via an active all-wheel-drive system with variable torque split. Pricing for the regular-length 2023 Cadillac Escalade-V starts at $149,999, while opting for the extended-length Escalade-V ESV bumps that up to $151,159.
Like its “regular” Escalade counterpart, the Escalade-V is underpinned by the luxury marque’s T1 platform, and the Arlington Assembly plant in Texas is responsible for its production.
