The refreshed 2025 Cadillac CT5 has officially launched in China, bringing the updated luxury sedan to Caddy’s largest volume market.
The refreshed Cadillac CT5 was announced for the Asian country on December 29th, 2023, hot on the heels of its reveal for the North American market in September. However, while the luxury sedan will launch in North America as a 2025 model year vehicle, the CT5 is a 2024 model year vehicle in China, its fifth model year in the Asian country.
As with its American brethren, the refreshed CT5 for China features a revised front fascia, with a wider grille along with new signature lighting with uninterrupted vertical lighting strips that extend from the outer edges of the headlights to the bottom of the front fascia. Stacked LED headlamps take the place of the current model’s side-by-side configuration, implementing the luxury marque’s current design language while embodying its latest marketing direction, which touts the CT5 as being a “American-style sports sedan.”
Four trim levels are on offer in China, each featuring unique exterior design elements to set them apart from the rest, including Luxury, Luxury Pro, Sport and Platinum. The Sport trim is particularly notable, as it has has been absent from the Chinese market until now, boasting an appearance package inspired by the high-performance CT5-V, which has also not ever been available in China. No matter the trim level, the refreshed Cadillac CT5 is powered exclusively by the turbocharged 2.0L I4 engine (production code LSY), rated at 237 horsepower 258 pound-feet of torque.
Starting prices, by trim level, for the 2024 Cadillac CT5 in China are as follows:
- 2024 Cadillac CT5 Luxury: 289,700 yuan (approximately $40,960 USD)
- 2024 Cadillac CT5 Luxury Pro: 299,700 yuan ($42,380 USD)
- 2024 Cadillac CT5 Sport: 320,700 yuan ($45,350 USD)
- 2024 Cadillac CT5 Platinum: 341,700 yuan ($48,300 USD)
