2023 Cadillac XT4 Onyx Lite Package Once Again Available To Order

After being briefly constrained due to a supplier issue, the Onyx Lite Package is once again available to order on new units of the 2023 Cadillac XT4, Cadillac Society has learned. 

As a reminder, the Onyx Lite Package is available to order on the 2023 Cadillac XT4 Luxury, Premium Luxury and Sport trim levels, and adds $2,195 to the price of the luxury crossover. The exterior accent package includes the following equipment (relevant production codes listed in parentheses):

• 20-inch Gloss Black wheels (SKW)
• Gloss Black XT4 nameplate (RIK)
• Monochrome Cadillac emblems (SFZ)

The Onyx Lite Package is an amended version of the regular (non-Lite) Onyx Package (production code PDB), which is offered on the XT4 Luxury, Premium Luxury and Sport trim levels when it is available. It costs $2,695 and includes the following content (relevant production codes in parentheses): 

• Black surround grille with Black mesh (RZ9)
• 20-inch Gloss Black Wheels (SKW) 
• Monochrome Cadillac emblems (SFZ)

The key difference between the XT4 Onyx Light Package and the regular Onyx Package is the Black surround grille with Black mesh included on the former. It appears that a constraint of the grille is what caused Cadillac to create the Onyx Light package, replacing the grille with the Gloss Black XT4 nameplate. However, both packages are currently available.

As a reminder, the 2022 Cadillac XT4 sold in North America is powered exclusively by the turbocharged 2.0L I4 engine (production code LSY), rated at 237 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. The nine-speed automatic transmission delivers power to the front to wheels as standard or to all four wheels via an all-wheel-drive system as an extra-cost option. 

Pricing for the 2023 Cadillac XT4 starts at $37,490 for the base Luxury trim level, while the Premium Luxury starts at $41,390. Finally, the Sport starts at $41,990. Production for the 2023 model year began on June 10^th, 2022, at the Spring Hill plant in Tennessee. Initially, the XT4 was slated to receive a mid-cycle refresh for the 2023 model year, but the update was postponed to the 2024 model year. Cadillac Society recently spotted a refreshed XT4 prototype undergoing testing.
