The 2022 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing super sedan is powered by the supercharged 6.2L V8 engine (production code LT4), which produces an estimated 668 horsepower and 659 pound-feet of torque, making it the most powerful Cadillac ever produced. The super sedan ships standard with a set of high-performance Brembo front and rear brakes with slotted iron rotors as standard. Additionally, a set of Brembo carbon ceramic brakes with cross-drilled rotors at all four corners is offered as a $9,000 option. Regardless of which brakes are equipped on the super sedan, the CT5-V Blackwing offers four brake caliper options.
In total, the 2022 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing offers four brake caliper colors: gray – which is standard, along with red, blue, and bronze. The red, blue and bronze options add $595 to the vehicle’s MSRP with the standard brakes, and are a free upgrade with the carbon ceramic units.
Here’s how each flavor looks like.
Gray (Standard)
Red
Blue
Bronze
In our humble opinion, the bronze caliper option offers a rather unique look, and we’re very interested to see how they look when paired with the Dark Emerald Frost paint (previously known as Dark Emerald Matte, now discontinued) and Satin Graphite wheels. Add in both of the available carbon fiber aero packages, and we have a build that’s very much worthy of being in the Cadillac Society fantasy garage. We’d opt for the standard six-speed manual transmission, since that’s what truly sets the Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing apart from its indirect predecessor, the third-generation CTS-V.
Now that we’ve had a closer look at several options for the new super sedan, including exterior colors, interior colors and materials, carbon fiber packages, and brake caliper color choices, how would you configure your own CT5-V Blackwing? Sound off in the comment section below.

Does anyone know how long it takes to build a CT5V Blackwing? One day? One week? Google does not know.

A Long Long time. I ordered my CT5-V Blackwing from AUTONATION CADILLAC WEST PALM BEACH, FL. on July 28, 2021. Still waiting. Steve, my salesman keeps me up to date. I stop at the dealership about every two weeks. He tells me about the dealership’s allocation process, manufacturing plant closing and reopening, and supply line problems, ect. The current hold up is the exterior carbon fiber package(s) availability. What good is a car that will go 200+ miles an hour if you can’t stay on the ground. Steve says I will get the car. I hope he is right.

I would think it’s like any other vehicle and they can pump out hundreds a day. A complete F150 only takes a few hrs and it’s built.
