It’s all out of our hands at this point. Once the car is physically built and we’re over the biggest hurdle.

👍👍. From what I have read it looks like the heated seats are not affected on the CT5 so it may just be the steering wheel that we have to be concerned about. Also saw that Cadillac will be able to retrofit the steering wheels if we don’t get ours so we may be in good shape after all.

That’s great to hear the same for me as well. Don’t know if we will get to see them by the end of the year but we can always hope for a Christmas miracle.

Just ordered and received a set of clear all weather mats which I have bought for previous cars before. They are called Hexamat and our custom fit and really do a great job. They hold up well and a very easy to clean and have the cutouts for the clips that are in the floor of the car to hold them in place. Front and rear set is about $115

Finally. Mine is scheduled to be produced next week but I won’t believe it until I get the confirmation

looks like good new for those of us waiting for a CT5:
Cadillac has announced that it will retrofit vehicles that were built without the heated and ventilated seat as well as heated steering wheel features sometime in 2022. As Cadillac Society reported earlier, the comfort features became temporarily unavailable due to the ongoing global microchip shortage wreaking havoc in the automotive industry.

As a result, Cadillac was forced to temporarily restrict availability of heated and ventilated seats plus heated steering wheels as supply constraints prevented the inclusion of the features in some 2022 model year vehicles. The deletion of heated steering wheels affected the CT4 and CT5 luxury sedans as well as the XT4, XT5 and XT6 luxury crossovers, while heated and ventilated seats were withheld from only the XT4, XT5 and XT6. Owners will be credited with $50 per vehicle to compensate for the inconvenience.

So my dealer today and spoke to the sales manager who told me my car will still be built week of December 13th even though Cadillac chat says I’m at status code 3100. Cadillac Facebook Chat also tells me that the dealer has the most current information so I guess we’ll just wait until the 13th to see what happens. No further info on the heated seat or steering wheel issue.

Call Cadillac yesterday and was told that my DPW was changed to the week of December 20th. We’ll wait till Monday and go see my dealer and find out what’s going on. Seeing what I have been seeing I have no confidence in GM were there order status updates anymore

I ordered the climate package which includes all those goodies but have not heard back from the salesman yet as to whether or not I’m affected by the chip shortage. We’ll be seeing him next Monday or Tuesday so hopefully we’ll get an update then

Ordered mine on September 23rd and it hung around 11:00 status for quite a while. Once it was accepted at code 2015 seemed to start moving quickly so as of now I’m still confirmed for a tpw of 12 13

That’s great news I was told exactly the same thing on my premium luxury ct5. All we can do is hope that they stay true to their word

Everything I’ve been reading on the internet seems to indicate that let’s the chips are available they should be installed probably mid 2022. We’ll be following up with my salesman next week to see if he has any update since my car is scheduled for production the week of December 13th

Seems like there are a few changes for 2022 including now the Power Tilt and Telescope steering wheel is included with the premium luxury package. Colors like emerald green and Shadow metallic are gone and I think two others have been added.

Sounds good. Here’s hoping that they don’t put out any more features before the cars are actually in our hands😊
