There you are, daydreaming about the idea of configuring your very own Curated by Cadillac 2026 CT5-V Blackwing. With as many as 160 different hand-painted exterior color options, your mind races to conjure up a bespoke Blackwing that’s unlike any other. Then you remember the $158,000 starting price, and snap back to reality. But just then, the just-announced Deep Ocean Package fans the flame of desire.
Priced at $26,995, it’s a bit easier to envision yourself taking delivery of the beautifully blue Blackwing. And with production limited to just 200 units, you try to rationalize your lust, telling yourself it’s a collector’s car, and thereby a justified expense, since it’s clearly an investment. You then begin calculating the cost of the individual features and packages: $8,090 for the high-performance semi-aniline leather seats with carbon fiber backs, $5,750 for Carbon Fiber Package 1, $8,630 for Carbon Fiber Package 2, plus the Satin Graphite wheels, blue brake calipers, Santorini Blue seat belts, and exterior black accents. “It’s really not much more than the one I’d spec anyway,” you tell yourself.
Or, maybe that’s not you. Maybe you’re someone who couldn’t land an allocation for any of the previously-available limited edition Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing models, and this new Deep Ocean Package is your next shot. In that case, why not shoot for the moon and pair it with the Precision Package?
Sure, it might not have the rich backstory of the Le Monstre Edition, but it will feature a paint color that’s exclusive to one other model: the 2026 Cadillac Optiq-V. Note that at this time, no photos of the CT5-V Blackwing with the Deep Ocean Package are available.
Truth is, you’d be lucky to own a CT5-V Blackwing in any color, especially if it has three pedals. But the added exclusivity and finer details of the Deep Ocean Package would make it that much more spectacular. So go ahead, live boldly, “dare greatly”, and buy brilliant cars. Even though a second-gen CT5 is on the way, we have to wonder if it will offer a supercharged V8 and a manual transmission.
