Some 2026 Cadillac Vistiq Units Will Need New Rear Air Springs

A recent dealer bulletin notes that some 2026 Cadillac Visitiq models may suffer from faulty rear air springs. Fortunately for techs who are tasked with remedying the matter, replacing the suspension components should only take 90 minutes. Focus on the silver linings, right?

Customer Satisfaction Program N252519100 states that select units of the luxury electric crossover may have rear air springs that present with a leak. To determine which 2026 Cadillac Vistiq units require a repair, dealerships will need to review the Investigate Vehicle History database in their Global Warranty Management system.

Although techs might be relieved knowing that the job isn’t too time consuming, Vistiq owners likely won’t be too pleased with the situation, since defective springs can be potentially hazardous. As such, any Vistiq that is brought in for service must be held until it is inspected and, if needed, repaired. Notably, courtesy transportation isn’t guaranteed. This may be a tough pill to swallow after at least $80,000 on a brand new Vistiq.

Owners of affected vehicles will receive a letter informing them that these repairs must be performed and to schedule an appointment with their dealership. To clarify, the inspections and repairs will be performed at no charge to customers, regardless of vehicle mileage or age, until October 31st, 2027.

Although this is a slight stain on the Vistiq’s rather fresh reputation, it’s certainly not something that’s exclusive to the model or even the luxury marque. To the automaker’s credit, it’s proactively resolving the problem.

Despite weighing nearly 6,500 pounds, the hefty 2026 Cadillac Vistiq is able to hit 60 miles per hour in just 3.7 seconds. Propulsion comes courtesy of a dual-motor setup that pumps out 615 horsepower and 650 pound-feet of torque that sends power to all wheels. In addition to its ample performance, the powertrain can also return up to 305 miles per charge according to Cadillac estimates.
