Refreshed 2025 Cadillac CT5-V Has A (Strange) Chrome Grille Accent

Before it began to arrive at dealers, photos and video footage of the refreshed 2025 Cadillac CT5-V performance sedan from Cadillac always featured the same black grille and black grille surround as the Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing. But since the 2025 Cadillac CT5-V began arriving at dealers, the actual vehicle’s upper grille has a black grille surround and a gleaming chrome lower surround that contrasts sharply with the rest of the front fascia.

Lower Chrome Grille Surround

The chrome lower grille surround is not an accident or a limited run feature, but will be included as standard on the 2025 Cadillac CT5-V sedans. Representatives of the luxury marque confirmed to Cadillac Society that the chrome lower surround is indeed standard, and here to stay.

For the moment, users of the online configurator tool for the 2025 Cadillac CT5-V continue to see imagery that shows an all-black grille and surround, which does not correspond to the actual product. The configurator will soon be updated to correctly show the chrome lower surround, Cadillac representatives told us in response to our query.

The new chrome surround accompanies a brand new front fascia for the sedan’s 2025 model year refresh. The cockpit is also new and is headlined by the 33-inch curved infotainment screen that has become the marque’s key signature.

Pricing for the 2025 Cadillac CT5-V starts at $58,390 for the standard rear-wheel drive (RWD) configuration. Upgrading to all-wheel drive (AWD) increases the starting MSRP for the sedan to $60,390. These prices include a $1,395 destination freight charge, while a variety of add-on packages are also available.

The twin-turbo 3.0L V6 gasoline engine (production code LGY) – good for 360 horsepower and 405 pound-feet of torque – is nestled under the CT5-V’s hood. The engine is paired with the Cadillac ten-speed automatic transmission as the exclusive gearbox.

All CT5 models, including the “regular” CT5, CT5-V and CT5-V Blackwing, continue to be underpinned by the Alpha 2 platform. Production of the 2025 CT5-V has been underway since last July at the Lansing Grand River plant, though the models only recently began shipping to dealers.
