The 2025 Cadillac Escalade is the proud recipient of a mid-cycle refresh that delivers an all-new front fascia, a new cockpit, and a host of other key updates. One of the lesser publicized changes is a new steering wheel on all models that gets customized with two unique features on the high-performance Escalade-V and Escalade-V ESV.
The redesigned steering wheel features a broader, chunkier shape compared to the one used on the 2021-2024 models, offering a different layout for the inner spokes as well as new capacitive-style buttons. Silver trim accents now surround the central area of the steering wheel, framing a set of buttons and switches, while the wheel’s lower spokes are shaped into a prominent V. This is a change that applies to all 2025 Escalade models, regardless of trim. The 2025 Cadillac Escalade-V gets the same steering wheel, but with two key changes. First, the Cadillac crest on the horn pad is replaced with the V-Series logo. Second, a “V” button is added to the controls on the left hand spoke.
Beyond the steering wheel, the 2025 Escalade-V also gets a new carbon fiber trim that replaces the Zebra wood trim used on the 2023 and 2024 model years. The supercharged 6.2L V8 LT4 gasoline engine, delivering 682 horsepower and 653 pound-feet of torque, remains, as does the luxury marque’s ten-speed automatic transmission.
As a reminder, the 2025 Escalade brings a welcome refresh to the full-size luxury SUV. This includes a reworked front fascia with all-new lighting elements and an overhauled interior featuring a coast-to-coast interior display screen. All these updates are not cheap, as the 2025 Escalade will be pricier than the 2024 model. Production of the forthcoming Escalade kicked off on October 7th, 2024, at the Cadillac Arlington plant in Texas.
