Cadillac has issued a Customer Satisfaction Program (CSP) for certain units of the 2024 Cadillac XT4 luxury crossover, which will require a series of software updates.
Tagged with No. N242444180, the CSP applies to certain units of the 2024 Cadillac XT4 that may require a comprehensive software update to improve the customer experience and optimize future over-the-air (OTA) updates. The service must be performed by an authorized Cadillac dealership and should take less than one hour to perform. It will also be performed at no cost to vehicle owners.
At this time, Cadillac hasn’t announced the number of 2024 Cadillac XT4 units affected by this CSP. Customers should note that it will remain valid through October 31st, 2024.
It’s worth noting that the aforementioned software update is one of several recalls and CSPs that have been released to address various issues with the 2024 XT4. Some units need a fix to address an issue with the luxury crossover’s transmission, while other programs aim to fix less critical problems with the hands-free liftgate, the physical copy of the owner’s manual, and noncompliant parking lights.
As a reminder, the XT4 was refreshed for the 2024 model year, gaining a redesigned front and rear fascias and an overhauled interior featuring a large curved infotainment display lifted directly from the Cadillac Lyriq. It is offered with a single engine: the turbocharged 2.0L inline four cylinder (production code LSY). The boosted gasoline four-cylinder is rated at 237 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque, and is mated to the nine-speed automatic transmission. Front-wheel-drive is standard while all-wheel-drive is optional.
Like all units of the XT4, the 2024 Cadillac XT4 continues to ride on the E2 platform, and production kicked off in April 2023 at the Cadillac Fairfax plant in Kansas City. However, it recently wrapped up to make way for assembly of the 2025 Cadillac XT4, which began on July 26th, 2024 after being postponed for several weeks.

RE: XT4 software update.
You said, “ Customers should note that it will remain valid through October 31st, 2024.”
Did you mean 2025, not 2024? October 2024 has come and gone.
We have a 2024 XT4 that we purchased as a former courtesy car in August of this year. How do we determine if our vehicle needs or has had the update?
