Thanks to much-awaited refresh, the 2025 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing has a fresh face that, among other things, consists of a reworked grille and front fascia, which incorporates all-new, uninterrupted lighting signatures and stacked LED headlamps. Recently, Cadillac Society spies caught the refreshed ultra-high-performance luxury sedan on public roads, flaunting its vibrant yellow paint.

This particular CT5-V Blackwing appears to have been a prototype that was previously covered in a camouflage wrap that was subsequently peeled off, evidenced by a minor strip of camouflage still present at the gap between the front door and fender. Its color, officially known as Cyber Yellow Metallic (paint code GCP), was first introduced on the 2024 CT5-V Blackwing as a $625 option. This bold hue complements the black molding, grille, dark rocker extensions and window surrounds. The striking yellow color also accentuates the generous UltraView dual-pane sunroof (production code C3U) up top.

Checking out the side of this 2025 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing reveals that it rides on a set of 19-inch aluminum alloy wheels finished in Polished/Dark Android (production code Q63), with Red brake calipers (production code J6F) peering through the spokes. Also of note is the V-Series badge affixed to the front fender. It features “Blackwing” script to differentiate it from the “regular” CT5-V, something Cadillac Society was first to tell you about last year.

While the interior isn’t visible in these photos, the cockpit of the 2025 Cadillac CT5 boasts a curved 33-inch-diagonal hi-res LED display that was initially introduced on the Lyriq. Other nifty features include an updated Performance Data Recorder for track enthusiasts, as well as Google built-in features such as Google Assistant, Google Maps and Google Play, along with OnStar and an available 5G Wi-Fi hotspot.

The powertrain, meanwhile, carries over untouched from the super sedan’s 2022, 2023 and 2024 model years. That involves the supercharged 6.2L V8 gasoline engine (production code LT4), rated at 668 horsepower and 659 pound-feet of torque. The six-speed manual transmission is standard, while the ten-speed automatic is optional. Regardless of the transmission, rear-wheel-drive is the sole drivetrain option.

All the refreshed CT5 variants will continue to ride on the Alpha 2 platform, and production is expected to kick off at the Lansing Grand River plant in the Spring of 2024.
