First introduced for the 2021 model year, the fifth-generation Cadillac Escalade is slated for an extensive mid-cycle refresh, which will bring welcome updates and changes to the popular full-size luxury SUV. Cadillac Society has learned that the 2025 Cadillac Escalade will gain new network capabilities as part of this refresh.
According to sources familiar with the matter, the 2025 Cadillac Escalade will boast 5G network connectivity, replacing the 4G LTE connectivity of the current, 2021-2024 model. The introduction of 5G will enable the Escalade to better support technologies like Super Cruise and integrated OnStar services, including the OnStar Wi-Fi hotspot, which will be faster when a 5G signal is available. Down the road, 5G will also support features enabled by the Global B electrical architecture, like the UltiFi software platform.
The 2025 Cadillac Escalade will follow the 2024 Cadillac Lyriq and all-electric Escalade IQ in adopting 5G connectivity. As a reminder, the 2024 Lyriq is the first Cadillac vehicle to adopt 5G connectivity, followed by the all-electric Cadillac Escalade IQ.
As for other updates for the upcoming Escalade refresh, the luxury SUV will feature restyled front and rear fascias and a set of optional 24 inch wheels. The full-size luxury SUV will also gain the Duramax 3.0L I6 turbodiesel engine (production code LZ0) to replace the diesel engine (production code LM2), which was offered for the 2021, 2022 and 2023 model years.
Additionally, the 2025 Cadillac Escalade will ditch the current model’s 38-inch OLED display in favor of a pillar-to-pillar (or coast-to-coast) panel that runs from the driver’s side A-pillar to the passenger-side A-pillar. This ultra wide display incorporates the digital instrument cluster and the vehicle’s center infotainment system, while also offering the front passenger their own dedicated screen. The setup will be nearly identical to that found in the 55-inch coast-to-coast display found in the Cadillac Celestiq and 2025 Escalade IQ.

I am glad I waited to see what the 2025 would bring to the table. Otherwise I would be trading in my 2023. Is there any rumors about the cost of the 2025, not that it will really matter. I am sold. The pillar info system is definitely a plus for the passengers on a road trip.
