2023 Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing: Here’s The New Argent Silver Metallic Color

The 2023 Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing added four new exterior colors to its palette: Midnight Steel Metallic, Maverick Noir Frost, Radiant Red Tintcoat, and Argent Silver Metallic. Here’s our first look at the new Silver hue.

Assigned production code GXD and touch-up paint code WA-130H, Argent Silver Metallic is one of 10 exterior colors offered on this high-performance variant of the Cadillac CT4 luxury sedan, which include:

• Summit White
• Black Raven
• Blaze Orange Metallic
• Wave Metallic
• Electric Blue
• Rift Metallic
• Radiant Red Tintcoat (new for 2023)
• Argent Silver Metallic (new for 2023)
• Midnight Steel Metallic (new for 2023)
• Maverick Noir Frost (new for 2023)

The Argent Silver Metallic color is an extra-cost item that adds an additional $625 to the sedan’s price and can be combined with all three interior colorways:

• Jet Black with Jet Black accents
• Natural Tan with Jet Black accents
• Sky Cool Gray with Jet Black accents

The 2023 Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing featured only a handful of changes and updates over the 2022 model, the biggest of which were the three CT4-V Blackwing Track Editions. The special editions are named after a U.S. race track, including the Watkins Glen IMSA Edition, the Sebring IMSA Edition, and the Road Atlanta IMSA Edition.

The 2023 Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing is powered by the twin-turbocharged 3.6L V6 engine (production code LF4), rated at 472 horsepower and 445 pound-feet of torque. The six-speed manual transmission is standard, while the 10-speed automatic is optional – both exclusively feeding the rear wheels.

The Cadillac CT4 is underpinned by the Alpha 2 platform, which is shared with the Cadillac CT5. Production began at the Lansing Grand River plant in Michigan on July 18^th, 2022. Production of the 2024 model year will start on July 10^th, 2023.
