2024 Cadillac XT6 Ditches These Three Paint Colors

The 2024 Cadillac XT6 marks the fifth model year for the first-generation luxury crossover, and it will soldier on largely unchanged compared to the 2023 model year. However, there are some changes coming to the exterior paint color lineup, as Cadillac Society has learned that three hues will be retired from the 2024 XT6 line.

The following three colors will not be available for the 2024 Cadillac XT6 (relevant paint codes listed in parentheses):

  • Latte Metallic (G5D)
  • Rosewood Metallic (GCK)
  • Wilder Metallic (GED)

The deletion of the aforementioned paint colors isn’t exactly a surprise. In fact, all three hues have been built out for the 2023 model year as well, as Latte Metallic, Rosewood Metallic and Wilder Metallic reached the end of their respective production runs in March.

Meanwhile, two new colors will be offered on the 2024 Cadillac XT6 (relevant paint codes listed in parentheses):

  • Emerald Lake Metallic (G6I)
  • Midnight Sky Metallic (GXF)

Cadillac’s only three-row luxury crossover will continue to ride on the luxury marque’s C1 platform and we expect it to continue to be offered offered with a choice of two gasoline engines in the U.S. market. The first is the naturally aspirated 3.6L V6 engine (production code LGX), rated at 310 horsepower and 271 pound-feet of torque. This engine is standard on Premium Luxury and Sport models and is identifiable by the 400 badging on the liftgate.

The second is the turbocharged 2.0L I4 engine (production code LSY), which is rated at 237 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. This engine is offered exclusively in the base Luxury trim, and the liftgate wears the 350T badge to identify the boosted four.

Both engines bolt to Cadillac’s nine-speed automatic transmission.

The 2024 Cadillac XT6 is expected to enter production soon, with the first units set to begin rolling off the assembly line at the Spring Hill plant in Tennessee in June 2023.

  1. Looks like Cadillac is ditching the colors that don’t sell well in China.

    • I agree…too bad all Cadillac and GM can focus on is China!
