2024 Cadillac Lyriq In Radiant Red Tintcoat: Live Photo Gallery

The 2024 Cadillac Lyriq represents the second model year for the luxury marque’s first all-electric vehicle, introducing a handful of changes and updates such as a revised trim level structure and a new exterior paint color lineup. Now, Cadillac Society spotted a model undergoing testing around Cadillac facilities in Michigan, showing off its Radiant Red Tintcoat, representing the first time we’ve seen the hue in the wild.

This particular 2024 Cadillac Lyriq is identifiable as Chinese-spec thanks to the badge on the passenger side of the liftgate, though it is concealed behind a strip of black tape. As previously stated, the exterior is finished in Radiant Red Tintcoat (paint code GNT), which is a new paint color for the 2024 Lyriq in North America.

Additionally, this model features other elements from the North American-spec 2024 Lyriq Sport. Note the body-color door handles, dark window surrounds, dark lower-body molding and neutral-density (clear-lens) taillamps. It rides on a set of 20-inch Dynamic 12-spoke alloy wheels finished in Diamond Cut/Satin Dark Android (production code RD4), new for the 2024 model year. These exterior features are standard on the Sport 1 and Sport 2 trims for the North American market.

While the Lyriq is a global vehicle that is mostly the same across all markets where it’s sold, the Chinese and North American-spec versions of the Lyriq AWD wear different badges. This is because the battery packs differ between China and North America, resulting in different power outputs, and therefore, necessitating unique badging to set them apart.

The Lyriq rides on the luxury marque’s BEV3 platform, and is assembled at the Spring Hill plant in Tennessee for all markets except for China; the Chinese-spec Lyriq, meanwhile, is built at the Jinqiao assembly plant. Ultium Drive motors are draw power from Ultium batteries, with output and driving range differing by trim level and drive wheels.
