Will The Refreshed 2024 Cadillac Escalade Get A New Edge-To-Edge Screen?

We expect the 2024 Cadillac Escalade to receive a midcycle refresh, bringing various updates and changes to the exterior as well as the interior. Cadillac Society already spotted a prototype undergoing testing last year, but more recently, we spied another 2024 Escalade prototype undergoing testing, revealing an interesting detail – a camouflaged cockpit, which might suggest that the refreshed Escalade could feature revisions to its screen.

It’s difficult to make much out in the spy photos thanks to the significant camouflage covering the luxury SUV’s cockpit, including the entire dash. Historically, however, the presence of camo inside a prototype has indicated that revisions to the cockpit are in store.

What’s more, this spy shot seems to indicate the presence of a new “ledge” behind the steering wheel and on the center stack, indicating that the screen will be pushed toward the windshield.

Revising the screen is certainly an interesting prospect, as previously, Cadillac touted the seventh-generation Escalade’s 38-inch OLED touchscreen as the first of its kind. However, the recently-announced Cadillac Celestiq will take the screen to new heights via its 55-inch, pillar-to-pillar display. Hence, we think it’s certainly within the realm of possibilities that the refreshed Escalade will get a similar treatment.

We should also point out the chrome button on the tip of the right-hand steering wheel stalk. This is likely a new gear selector, one that Cadillac currently uses in the Lyriq. This kind of configuration would free up the Escalade’s center console space, where the gear selector is situated currently.

The Cadillac Lyriq’s shifter is located on the right hand side of the steering wheel, and looks very similar to the one used in the 2024 Escalade prototype pictured above

Also note that the Escalade prototype features a driver-facing camera affixed to the steering column, meaning that this prototype is outfitted with Super Cruise, the luxury marque’s semi-autonomous driver assistant.

As we mentioned earlier, we do know for certain that the 2024 Cadillac Escalade will feature revisions to its front and rear ends. In addition, as Cadillac Society reported last month, at least one more major change is on the way for the 2024 model year in the form of the Duramax 3.0L I6 turbodiesel engine (production code LZ0), which is the second generation of the current diesel motor (production code LM2). What’s more, the 2024 Escalade will offer 24-inch wheels as an option, representing the biggest wheels ever offered from the factory.

We expect to find out more about the refreshed Escalade soon, as the refreshed Escalade is slated to enter production in just a few months, so be sure to subscribe to Cadillac Society for the latest Cadillac Escalade news and around-the-clock Cadillac news coverage.
