The 2023 Cadillac Escalade White Sport Edition launched in Japan at the end of 2022, as a special limited edition of the iconic full-size luxury SUV. Just thirty models of the black-and-white SUV will be produced.
Based on the Sport trim, the Escalade White Sport Edition features an exterior finished in Crystal White Tricoat. Previously, this color option was limited to Platinum models, and was not offered on the Sport trim, which was in turn exclusively offered in the Black Sable color. The Escalade White Sport Edition retains the blacked-out exterior accents from the Sport, including the black mesh grille and trim pieces for a “fearless and powerful personality,” according to a translated press release. The interior is finished in Jet Black with wood inserts.
The 2023 Cadillac Escalade White Sport Edition represents the luxury SUV’s range-topping model for the Japanese market. Priced at 18,000,000 JPY, or approximately $127,200 USD, it went on sale on November 17th, 2022, and can be purchased through the luxury marque’s limited dealer network in Japan. It’s important to note that the Escalade is not currently offered in a right-hand drive configuration in Japan.
Regardless, buyers of the Escalade White Sport Edition are also able to take advantage of the Private Golf package, which includes a round with four professional female golf players.
Under the hood, the 2023 Cadillac Escalade White Sport Edition features the luxury marque’s naturally aspirated 6.2L V8 engine (production code L87), which is rated at 420 horsepower and 460 foot-pounds of torque and is currently the only powerhouse available for the Escalade in Japan. This engine is paired with Cadillac’s 10-speed automatic transmission, and four-wheel-drive is standard.
