The 2023 Cadillac CT5 discontinues five exterior paint colors previously offered on the 2022 model year, Cadillac Society has learned.
The following five exterior paint colors are not returning to the Cadillac CT5 in the 2023 model year (relevant paint codes listed in parentheses):
- Diamond Sky metallic (G9F)
- Satin Steel Metallic (G9K)
- Shadow Metallic (GJI)
- Garnet Metallic (GLR)
- Infrared Tintcoat (GSK)

Garnet Metallic was only available on units of the CT5 in Luxury or Premium Luxury trim. Meanwhile, Satin Steel Metallic, Shadow Metallic, and Infrared Tintcoat were offered on CT5 Luxury, Premium Luxury and Sport trim levels. Diamond Sky Metallic was exclusive to the CT5 Premium Luxury with the CT5 Diamond Sky Package.
For the 2023 model year, the CT5 gains three new exterior colors, each of which cost extra. They are as follows (relevant paint codes listed in parentheses):
- Radiant Red Tintcoat (GNT)
- Argent Silver Metallic (GXD)
- Midnight Steel Metallic (GXU)

As a reminder, the Cadillac CT5 350T is powered by the turbocharged 2.0L I4 (production code LSY), rated at 237 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. This engine is standard on the Luxury, Premium Luxury, and Sport trim levels. The twin-turbo 3.0L V6 (production code LGY) is optional on the CT5 Premium Luxury, where it makes 335 horsepower and 400 pound-feet of torque, identifiable by the 550T badge on the decklid. Both engines bolt to Cadillac’s 10-speed automatic transmission. Production occurs at the Lansing Grand River plant in Michigan for all markets except for China.
