The Lyriq Is The Only Cadillac With Brand-Specific Logo On Its Glass

The Lyriq Is The Only Cadillac With Brand-Specific Logo On Its Glass

The 2023 Cadillac Lyriq is a very stylish vehicle from the inside out, featuring a myriad of unique details, some of which were inspired by vintage Cadillac models. One of these details is the inclusion of the Cadillac Crest logo on its glass.

Cadillac Society Executive Editor, Alex Luft, recently had some hands-on time with the 2023 Cadillac Lyriq, giving us some driving impressions as well as an exclusive, in-depth look at even the most minute details of this battery electric crossover’s cabin (see video below). In doing so, he discovered that the Lyriq features small Cadillac Crest logos etched into the vehicle’s glass. In addition, the Lyriq’s interior design manager, Tristan Murphy, told Luft that the text that describes the glass’s specifications is written in the latest Cadillac font.

What makes this minutiae particularly interesting is the fact that all vehicles currently made by Cadillac as well as its parent company, General Motors, all feature a GM logo on the vehicle glass. This makes the Lyriq the only Cadillac to feature the marque’s logo on the glass, and that it’s also the only GM vehicle overall currently to feature a brand-specific logo on the glass.

The 2023 Cadillac Lyriq features a single Ultium motor mounted on the rear axle, lending 340 horsepower and 325 pound-feet of torque for an estimated 312 miles of driving range. Meanwhile, the upcoming Lyriq all-wheel-drive model adds a second motor that increases total output to over 500 horsepower.

The all-new Lyriq rides on the luxury marque’s BEV3 platform, and is assembled at the Spring Hill plant in Tennessee. New units of the battery electric crossover recently began landing at dealerships over the July 4th weekend.
