Once the order books for the high-performance 2023 Cadillac Escalade-V open, customers will be able for a new color called Dark Emerald Metallic, Cadillac Society has learned.
Unfortunately, there aren’t any pictures of Dark Emerald Metallic as of this writing, but it’s important to note that it is not the same color as Dark Emerald Frost, which was a limited color available on the V-Series Blackwing super sedans – the CT4-V Blackwing and CT5-V Blackwing. While Dark Emerald Metallic may be similar in hue to Dark Emerald Frost, the “metallic” moniker indicates that it will have a metallic finish instead of a matte finish for the Dark Emerald Frost.

At this time, it’s not clear if Dark Emerald Metallic will be offered as a limited-production color option on the 2023 Cadillac Escalade-V, or if it will cost extra. It’s also not clear if the high-performance SUV will get a matte color like the Blackwing sedans.
The Cadillac Escalade-V draws motivation from the same engine as what’s under the hood of the Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing: the supercharged 6.2L V8 engine (production code LT4). Under the hood of the performance-oriented luxury SUV, that eight-cylinder is capable of a whopping 682 horsepower and 653 pound-feet of torque. The supercharged engine bolts to Cadillac’s 10-speed automatic transmission, throwing power to all four wheels. The luxury marque estimates that the Escalade-V will be able to spring from zero to 60 mph in just 4.4 seconds onto a quarter-mile in 12.74 seconds at 110 mph.
The 2023 Cadillac Escalade-V is set to go on sale late this summer, and will carry a starting MSRP of $149,990 in the U.S. for the regular-length variant, while the extended-length ESV model will also be available. The starting price for the regular-length Escalade-V in Canada will be C$179,998, while opting for the Escalade-V ESV will add C$3,500 to the high-performance SUV’s price.
