The 2022 Cadillac CT5-V models get two new exterior colors: Electric Blue and Blaze Orange Metallic. Here’s our first look at the new Blaze Orange hue.
Assigned production code GCF and touch-up paint code WA-626G, Blaze Orange Metallic is one of nine exterior colors available for the 2022 Cadillac CT5-V:
- Black Raven
- Infrared Tintcoat
- Rift Metallic
- Satin Steel Metallic
- Shadow Metallic
- Summit White
- Wave Metallic
- Blaze Orange Metallic (new for 2022 model year)
- Electric Blue (new for 2022 model year)
The Blaze Orange Metallic color is an extra-cost item, adding an additional $625 to the vehicle’s price, and is available on the CT5-V (as well as on the CT5-V Blackwing). In fact, the CT5-V Blackwing was the model to introduce the new orange color.
In addition, Blaze Orange can only be combined with the following interior colorways:
- Jet Black with Jet Black accents
- Sedona Sauvage with Jet Black accents
- Sangria with Jet Black accents

- Maple Sugar with Jet Black accents
- Sahara Beige with Jet Black accents

The introduction of the 2022 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing ultra-performance model represented a major upgrade to the CT5 lineup for the 2022 model year. Taking the CT5-V to the next level, the CT5-V Blackwing is powered by Cadillac’s supercharged 6.2L V8 engine (production code LT4), which produces 668 horsepower and 659 pound-feet of torque. Power is sent exclusively to the rear wheels through a standard six-speed manual transmission sourced from Tremec, while a Cadillac 10-speed automatic is available as an option. It also features unique front and rear fascias, upgraded chassis and suspension systems, upgraded performance brakes, and two available carbon fiber aero packages.
Meanwhile, the “regular” CT5-V packs Cadillac’s twin-turbocharged 3.0L V6 engine (production code LGY), pumping out a very healthy 360 horsepower and 405 pound-feet of torque.
The 2022 Cadillac CT5 is produced at the Cadillac Lansing Grand River Plant in Michigan for all markets except for China, alongside the Cadillac CT4 sedan.

Since there were hardly any 2022’s, and they cancelled Super Cruise for the 2022 model year, they better offer that same hot Orange color again for the 2023 model or I am out of the market.
