Cadillac Society can exclusively reveal the very first pictures of the engine compartment in the upcoming 2022 Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing ultra-high-performance luxury sedan.
When fitted with the automatic transmission, the CT4-V Blackwing has a top speed of 189 mph and a 0-60 mph time of 3.8 seconds.
Anyone that has seen the engine compartment of the ATS-V – the CT4-V Blackwing’s indirect predecessor – would quickly recognize the engine cover with the V-Series logo. But that’s not to say that the engine compartments of the two models are the same.
For instance, the newer model seems to have slightly relocated various components, while also dressing the turbo piping in a different fashion.
The 2022 Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing is priced to start at $59,990, though it can be made to cost $84,875 (or just $115 less than a base CT5-V Blackwing) by ordering all the available options, including the automatic transmission, a higher trim, a carbon-fiber aero package, and several other options.
As of this writing, 2022 Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing is scheduled to go into production on July 5th 2021 at the Lansing Grand River plant in Michigan. On February 1st, Cadillac opened reservations for the first 250 examples, offering the first vehicle serial numbers, a certificate of authenticity and a session at the Cadillac V-Performance Academy in Nevada in return for a deposit of $1,000. All 250 were snapped up by the end of February 2nd.
