2020 Cadillac CT5 Premium Luxury: Live Photo Gallery

Dropping in as Caddy’s latest D-segment sedan offering, the 2020 Cadillac CT5 comes to the party rocking three individual trim levels. Starting things off is the base-level Luxury, above which sits the Sport and Premium Luxury. As we outlined previously, the CT5 Sport is decked-out in all sorts of sporty styling bits, which might not necessarily be attractive to all. So, for those who prefer their luxury sedan to have more shine and bling (and less blacked-out elements), the Premium Luxury trim is the way to go.

The 2020 Cadillac CT5 Premium Luxury differentiates itself from the rest of the lineup thanks to different door handles, grille, window moldings, tail lamp housings, and various other details. With that in mind, let’s take a closer look in the following live photo gallery shot at the CT5’s debut in New York.

The 2020 Cadillac CT5 Premium Luxury first grabs our attention thanks to its bright grille treatment. The grille insert gets polished crest-like highlights, which stand in stark contrast to the shiny black mesh of the Sport model. The grille also sports a bright metal surround.

The sideview shows off a well-proportioned roofline common to all CT5 models, but the Premium Luxury model adds a number of bright accents. For example, the 2020 Cadillac CT5 Premium Luxury offers body-color door handles with bright accents and an illuminating feature as standard, which is different thane elsewhere in the CT5 lineup.

Standard wheel sizing on the 2020 Cadillac CT5 Premium Luxury is 18 inches, although plus-sized 19-inch wheels are an available option. Higher up on the vehicle, we find bright window surround moldings, also known as DLO, unlike the black moldings offered by the Sport model.

The rear end completes the package with LED lighting elements and red outer tail light lenses, as opposed to the neutral-density (clear) gray-tinted transparent outer tail lamp lenses of the Sport model. The lower valence, which houses dual parallelogram-shaped exhaust tips, is also different from that of the Sport model.

It’s worth noting that the Platinum Package is an available option on the CT5 Premium Luxury. It adds an exclusive interior upholstery, heated/ventilated/lumbar massage seating, and other high-end touches throughout the cabin.

The standard engine on the 2020 Cadillac CT5 Premium Luxury is the turbocharged 2.0L four-cylinder (production code LSY), which makes 237 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. The twin-turbo 3.0L V6 (production code LGY) is optional on the Premium Lux. Both powerplants connect to a new 10-speed automatic transmission with Electronic Precision Shift gear selector. Rear-wheel-drive is standard, while all-wheel-drive is optional.

  1. I find it interesting that you show the Maple Sugar interior right above a line mentioning the Platinum package, in which it is not available. Anyone know why only the Sedona Sauvage interior is available with the Platinum package?

  2. The exhaust tips seem to have 4 parallel sides…trapezoids only have 2 parallel sides. These would technically be the less cool parallelogram shaped.

    • Joe – it does seem that you’re right. Fixed.

  3. In other models, like my XT5 Platinum, Maple Sugar is the only interior color available.

  4. What is the base price of the CT5 Premium base model?

    • There is no such model as the CT5 Premium.

There is a CT5 Luxury and the CT5 Premium Luxury, each starting at $37,890 and $41,690, respectively (for the 2020 model year).
