2021 Cadillac Escalade Spied With Production Intent Grille

The debut for the all-new, next-generation 2021 Cadillac Escalade is rapidly approaching, and with it, a fresh new look for the full-size premium SUV. Now, we’re getting a quick preview of things to come, as a prototype for the overhauled Escalade was recently spotted testing with a new production intent grille.

This particular prototype appears to be the 2021 Cadillac Escalade ESV, which is the extended-length body style for the Escalade nameplate. Lucky for us, we find the prototype is draped in just a little front-end camouflage, giving us a decent look at the new snoot on the 2021 Cadillac Escalade.

As we can see, the restyled front end boasts a new grille insert, with a tight, interlocking mesh pattern that stands in contrast to the wide-spaced horizontal grille offered by the current model. While this new insert pattern looks to be correct for the upcoming production intent grille, the final model will likely come with a different finish, with either bright chrome accents or bright black accents, depending on the trim level.

It’s also worth noting that this insert offers the same mesh pattern as the Cadillac CT5 spied in April, and follows through on design cues initially established by the Cadillac Escala concept vehicle. We’ve also seen the look applied to the Cadillac XT4 and refreshed 2019 Cadillac CT6.

Further styling elements offered by this 2021 Cadillac Escalade prototype include vertical lighting elements below headlights. Meanwhile, the rear end shows off wide, trapezoidal exhaust tips.

This is the first new set of spy shots for the 2021 Cadillac Escalade that we’ve seen in a while. Back in July, we managed to get a sneak peek at the interior, which appears to offer a large, horizontal display screen.

Look for the 2021 Cadillac Escalade to get an official reveal sometime in the near future, with a launch in the first half of 2020. Until then, subscribe to Cadillac Society for more Cadillac Escalade news and 24/7 Cadillac news coverage.
