Cadillac Lyriq Retains Apple CarPlay And Android Auto For 2026 Model Year

Unlike every other Cadillac with battery electric propulsion, the 2026 Cadillac Lyriq still offers Apple CarPlay and Android Auto functionality. That makes the luxury electric CUV a worthwhile choice for buyers who are in the market for Cadillac’s latest and greatest but still want Apple CarPlay and/or Android Auto.

While the 2026 Cadillac Lyriq retains Apple CarPlay and Android Auto functionality, it does see a few notable changes. For starters, an updated AKG Studio sound system option brings a total of 23 speakers, up from 19 for the 2025 model year. In addition to the four extra speakers, the upgraded AKG sound system also features Dolby Atmos technology, which creates a true surround-sound experience.

On the outside, the 2026 Cadillac Lyriq sees the deletion of the familiar Crystal White Tricoat exterior paint color option in favor of a new hue called Vibrant White Tricoat, which is available on all trim levels and may be combined with all interior color options.

The 2026 Cadillac Lyriq also sees changes to its trim level nomenclature. Currently, the non-V Lyriq is available in Luxury 1, Luxury 2, Luxury 3, Sport 1, Sport 2, and Sport 3. For 2026, those same trim levels are rebranded to Luxury, Premium Luxury, Signature Luxury, Sport, Premium Sport, and Signature Sport. Aside from what they’re called, the trim level structure and packaging will remain the same.

To clarify, the revised trim level names are entirely separate from the launch of the high-performance Lyriq-V, which is treated as a separate model altogether.

Aside from the aforementioned alterations, the 2026 Cadillac Lyriq remains unchanged. As such, it still offers a standard rear-wheel-drive single-motor (badged 450E) and an available all-wheel-drive dual-motor configuration (badged as 650E). The rear-drive model offers 326 miles of maximum driving range, while the AWD one delivers 319 miles.

Production of the 2026 Lyriq started in early August at the Spring Hill plant in Tennessee, where the Lyriq is built alongside the Vistiq. Notably, the plant will likely handle production of the gas-powered XT5, which will get a new lease on life thanks to a second-generation model in the U.S. market.
